Was Duran really the greatest lightweight of all?

Always thought so growing up and was a huge fan, but now I have mixed thoughts. Williams was an insanely hard puncher. This matchup would have been interesting. Ike would have polished off any of Duran's challengers at lightweight, maybe faster than Roberto did. Duran was susceptible to left hooks and Williams could throw them.

Tough fight but Duran’s power and defense would make the difference. Duran wins a decision with both fighters visiting the canvas.

A fair assessment. It's possible Duran's tenacity could pull him through, but a tough fight with him having to come off the floor to do it.

Yes he was & that’s why I make him a very live underdog vs Williams.

This is a big money fight. I am suspicious of anything with which Blinky is involved.
