Antonio, on the subject of Garcia, here's another unusual fact. In 239 fights Garcia was only stopped 3 times. On cuts to Willie Monroe and Carmelo Bossi. But the third was to Alfredo Urbina and boxrec has it listed as a knockout. I know nothing of how the fight unfolded but to be able to say you're the only man to KO Angel Robinson Garcia is saying something.
One that I tout on here often is the Great Julio Cesar Vazquez. Top 3 ATG light middle. 12 title victories. Just thunder in his fists.
Canadian HW champ Gus Lambert. He went unbeaten for 8 years before losing to Peter Jackson and Peter Maher. He had a win over Dominick McCaffrey in 1883 but rarely shows up in 1880s ranking and does not appear to have been given any consideration by the top fighters until fighting Jackson who he was somewhat competitive with. Before fighting Jackson he had 1 decision loss in 1882 that he avenged by KO. He might have a top 5 1880s fighter and when that era comes up he is rarely mentioned.

He was an absolute hard ass. Another really good fighter from Argentina from those days was Jorge Castro. He's another forgotten guy that doesn't get talked about all that much.
