I was going to edit my post and qualify it by saying that the term ATG is subjective: the answers given will include a lot of debatable opinions. The only opponents I could think of that Floyd beat who might be considered ATGs were Oscar and Clenelo, neither of whom I’d rate as ATGs. And, as I was typing I remembered that Floyd beat both Pac and JMM - both whom I do consider ATGs.
Ahhh! This thread could be pure bait! Sometimes an ATG, could just happen to be in a weak era, and sometimes an ATG, happens to avoid ATG fights, and that probably makes them NOT an ATG
ATG to me is better than the likes of cotto, maybe Oscar etc Like use UK fighters for example. ATG in recent years Calzaghe Lewis That's it in my book. Fury, eubank, Joshua, Hatton, froch, Benn etc are not ATG fighters
I was gonna say! If there is anyone who beat a legit ATG, it´s Floyd. Because as you said it, the term is subjective. I would argue tho that Wladimir beat Haye, who technically is an all time great Cruiserweight, for whatever that´s worth.
I think the argument with Floyd is that none of those guys were at their best, but u can't blame Floyd for that.
