Fraizer is small, and Peter is much larger and powerful, but nowhere near as good of a boxer.

So the question is really: can a smaller much more skilled guy beat a much bigger guy with a huge punch but with crude skills. Clearly the answer is yes. Also just as clearly, if Frazier is going to crowd into a guy like Peter and try to exchange, he's giving him a decent chance of stretchering him. Peter was light on the skills but he hit as hard as anybody at heavyweight.

Frazier would be too slick and busy for the plodding clubber,he would run him out of gas and eventually chop him down, imo.

Not to mention Williams being well past the peak of his career of not even fringe contention.

I compiled a list of all the 250lb men that Frazier knocked out. Here it is:
Buster Mathis, described as a "melting chocolate sundae" he was so fat.

This is one of the few fights where I think the old generation could beat the new. My vote for a prime Frazier.

No need for a detailed analysis. Frazier has Peter beat in every single category except raw power and chin. So long as he's in shape, has responsible defense, and doesn't just get into a wild slugfest he should be able to outland and outwork Peter with his vastly superior technique, hand speed, and timing.

Which doesn't address the fact that Peter was not some " all time monster puncher", he was a crude clubber.

Which doesn't address the fact that if Frazier tries to shoot it out with this crude clubber, he's going to risk having his neck stretched by an inch.

Did any of those exceed 6 foot? Other than our melting chocolate sundae, that is? Easy to flatten dudes when they're a collection of dwarfs, midgets and fatties.
