I disagree. Have you rewatched without commentary? They were losing their minds over grazing and even missed shots. Watching it live I had it closer

Canelo wasn't risking belts, and Bivols a top LHW, David not so much, meaning the loss doesn't look as bad. Canelo moved up.

When that fight comes off, and Bivols on his ass, don't say I didn't warn yall

Oh, he won't be outlanding Benavidez when DB decides to turn it up. DB is faster, far more accurate (Bivol's percentages are routinely pitiful) more versatile, and more powerful.

He would automatically be Bivol's toughest opponent outside of Beterbiev. No question.

I have not been impressed with Benavidez thus far. I don't think he can beat either Bivol or Beterbiev.

I was misled, Benavidez has actual stans! He has yet to face a truly elite guy in his career so far aside from Plant?(and I'm not even sure I'm ok with putting plant in an elite class) but he's going to smoke either of the elite guys at 175? He's been too hitable his entire run and you can't be hitable in the same zip code as Beterbiev. Maybe he's got a shot with Bivol due to familiarity, but sparring=/=real bouts.

Did you watch it on TV yet or just live? I don't need to rewatch it , I remember it being a war the score cards agree with me. You are now making excuses. When you are right, you don't need excuses.

David is sitting 3rd on compubox lowest opponent power punch connect %. He is just so hittable!!

It wouldn't necessarily be a mismatch but Benavidez would lose to the winner and to the loser of the two Russians.

But he would be a close to a 50/50 if he fought Canelo.
And this is what most want to see.
    Now,

Bivol peaked about seven years ago and you don't know it. But you'll see.

Benavidez is overrated. Point blank period. All the fans have to justify him beating elite LHWs is dream based intuition and nothing more lol. Man hasn't done a thing

I mean the books been out on David for a while. He's entertaining to watch, but he overwhelms smaller guys with volume and his volume is his defense for the most part. We knew from the 1st rd that nether Plant nor Andrade had enough power to deter an 190 something pound man lol. He has yet to fight or call to fight anyone that can punish his defensive holes aside from Canelo. He still has alot to prove as a fighter before people will just give him these matchups without question agaisnt the 2 top guys the next class up. And if it really is such a sure thing to you guys that he wrecks the 2 175 champs he truly has no business at 168.

Do you think Canelo thinks he's overrated?

So you concede you were wrong , that he has poor defense, or you don't know how percentages work? His defense is so bad only an ATG can expose those flaws? Keep up the comedy.

Meh my actual insight from watching him will always hold more water than compubox numbers for me. It's great to use the numbers to support observations from fights but often times they dont quite matchup to what you see either. Those numbers don't tell the how or why, whether or not he moves his head or how defensively responsible a fighter is. Numbers cant show you the openings he leaves that we know better fighters can exploit. Boxing doesn't happen on a spreadsheet. And yeah im fairly certain Canelo thinks hes overrated.

A perfect example of confirmation bias. Brilliant. The numbers actually do demonstrate how defensively sound he is. All the boxers that people claim have great defense are rated highly by compubox, so it is representative. You just can't accept you are wrong and David actually has very good defense. Maybe watch the video where breadman breaks down davids defense and rates it highly.

That is why he refuses to fight him for less than 200m right? lul.
