There’s lots of stuff going on - Team Yarde probably using the Smith fight as leverage. There’s also talk that Turki has said he wants that fight and not Richards - Hutchinson/Parker. Paul Smith was pretty clear tho, so hopefully we do indeed get the Buatsi fight which os overdue
Just seen they’re putting this on the same night as the Champions League final. Good chance Man City or Arsenal will be involved so not the brightest idea.
So the choice for sports fans that night is tune into the biggest club game in world football or shell out PPV cash to watch Craig Richards vs Hutchinson......hmmm, tough call
That's like saying you'd shell out PPV cash to see Campbell Hatton. PPV sells for main events and maybe chief supports, the diehards like us watch the other fights but most people won't. The whole 5v5 thing is an elegant way to make undercards more interesting, each fight is "meaningful" after a fashion.
Yep, nail on the head. With this one too, it's the way of turning an expensive headliner between two Russians into a UK PPV event. Us hardcore fans are drooling over it, but for the more casual fan they'll tune in only for the 5v5. Champions League final day is, to put it mildly, an inconvenient date for it though.
Have this on the same night as the Champions Leagje is fairly wild. Putting on all that cash on a night most sports fans will be elsewhere
