    I am think Mr Johnson would not be a fan of the present idea of fluid restriction to make weight on the scales, as i do believe he mentioned the importance of water once or twice........during his Physical culture lecture.

    Great that these rare items or cleaned up films, regularly crop up on this forum.

    I have a copy of the physical culture recording 78rmp . A rare Item then . my great grandfather was sparing partner to Frank Moran for the Johnson fight in Paris. regards

    Ok, this recording sounds much more in line. That first recording must be distorted in some way, because his voice sounds higher and just not what you'd expect.

    That’s amazing - not just having the 78rpm but for the fact (more so) that your great grandfather sparred Frank Moran.

    Though I somehow doubt that the toff experts will know much about the rare item you have in your possession. :)

    PS - I see my original link to the audio is no longer working - at least not for me anyways. :D If I get time I might drop in a fresh link to same.
