Both Khaosai Galaxy and Gilberto Roman were champions at Super Flyweight around the same time but for some reason they never had the chance to face off. Had they both squared off against each other in neutral territory who would you think would win? It would have been a nice clash of styles between the bull and matador. Galaxy has the aggression, power, and strength in his favor while Roman has the speed, boxing skills, and ring IQ.
I'm going with Khaosai Galaxy, known in Thailand for his "left hand that drills intestines". He may have been a superfly but he hit like a middleweight.
Khaosai was a terrifying southpaw. Definitely the greatest KO artist in Thailand history and maybe in the history of all the little men in boxing. At 115 pounds, he hit too hard for other fighters his size and handed out brain damage like Halloween candy. Overlooked and forgotten on this board, seems like. I'll bet most of you have never seen a Khaosai fight film. Fought only once outside of Asia, unfortunately. He lost only one time early in his career. He retired at 32, with 41 knockouts in 47 wins. It got so easy for him, he began to look bored in the ring. His twin brother was WBA bantam champ. They learned to fight from their mother. Guys, be careful with Thai women.
Im unsure how long you’ve been on these online forums but Khaosai Galaxy is one of the most discussed boxers from his weight and a great deal of people here and elsewhere have seen him fight. I personally have watched approximately all of his fights available. Overlooked though? I’d say fairly rated and at times leaning towards overestimated in my opinion,
