So how did Fundora cheat? In boxing a guy can twist an ankle, break a knuckle, incidental headbutt, glove thumb to eye. **** happens. If he couldn't see he should have said it when Dr asked him with blood gushing from his head. Yes it impacted the outcome, but how the hell does this not make it a legit win for Fundora. By the ay I am a fan of Tszyu but on fight night I am bias.

 

He also kept his head on the line all night and failed to press any action. It was hardly an impressive performance cut or not.

 

CJ, I agree with your sentiments but it really wasn't Fundora's fault. Tim couldn't see, so Fundora did enough to take it. The fight should have been stopped prior to the end of the 4th round. It was not an entertaining fight. And, frankly, I am amazed anyone thinks anything can be determined by the outcome of this fight. It should have been a no contest.

 

Why I say rematch

 

Makes Canelo's whining look childish he claimed Bivol was too big for him that's why he lost . That lanky Fundora was nearly a foot taller than Tszyu fought him on two weeks notice too

 

Frankly, I am just disappointed. I was hoping to see a good scrap.

 

Yeah, it’s a bit problematic pointing out that the cut did have a major and detrimental impact on Tim without it seeming to discredit Fundora - which no one wants to do - Fundora simply did his job from there, so credit to him.

However, applied for an objective and practical purpose, if they rematch, weighing the degree of handicap created by the cut, one might bet on Tszyu still (I would) assuming such a compromising cut or similar doesn’t come into play again.

Tszyu is a real one. He wanted to fight. He could have postponed I guess, but I don't think that would have sat well with him.

 

Fundora was originally fighting to get his interim title back. Only splitting hairs here but Fundora wasn't to be full WBC champ

Both fight at 154, both had under a few weeks notice, the cut was accidental, both have 24 hours in a day, both eat, ****, sleep and breath boxing.

What unfolded is what unfolded, nothing nefarious took place.
