If they decide to run it back again who do you favor going into the rematch? Do you see Fundora having Tszyu’s number or does Tszyu make the proper adjustments to make it a different fight?

I think it would be a different fight. He was spending half his time wiping blood from face so it doesn't get in his eye.

Fundora figured him out reminds me of Pac vs Marquez. He figured Tszyu out and the aggressor Tszyu will have a hard time closing the gap and will get pelted with counters on the way in.I see a trilogy looming here.

Could go either way. I think blood does distract a fighter, especially if it's in their eyes. However injuries are part of the sport and you can never predict it. Let's also just face it, Fundora is a 6' 5.5" beast and was always going to be tough to beat. Toss up.

Plus we have seen plenty of fights where the underdog adapts better for the rematch than the favorite.

Yeah, I reckon Tim would have won tonight if the cut didn't happen but now the variables come into play for any rematch. Fundora is hard to beat.

50/50 fight for me in the rematch. The blood no doubt effected Tszyu's vision and forced him to open up his high guard as a tight high guard would of limited his vision even more, meaning he was basically defenceless against such a tall opponent. But also Fundora surprised me in he actually learned to fight tall and keep the fight at range for periods rather than just stepping into range and slugging it out.

I do expect Tszyu to do better in the rematch as he will have actually trained for Fundora for a full camp instead of switching but there's no guarantee he wins. I always thought he was getting a little too much hype, just because Charlo ran from him, the division isn't very deep and Tszyu hasn't really beaten anyone I'd regard as exceptional.

The rematch should be interesting as he will have specifically trained for Fundora but also Fundora will have had more time to improve this new style of his and will be even better from range. So honestly even a better prepared Tszyu with no cut, might have a harder time in the rematch as I expect Fundora to be even better 2nd time around.

Fundora saw Tszyu’s blood and got excited, Tszyu saw his own blood which caused his own hesitation.

If a rematch occurs, remove the accidental cut and the notion the fight moved in Fundora’s favour after that accidental cut occurred, I’ll go with Tszyu via mid to late round stoppage if a rematch happens.

This was exactly why I was so excited when Thurman dropped out.

We went from an absolute mismatch to a competitive fight that could result in Tim losing, and he did.

    Sometimes boxing works out well.

What did he figure out? I don’t think Fundora landed a single jab in the first two rounds, it was clear to see Tim’s responsiveness to them get far worse as soon as the cut happened. He stopped parrying effectively and his timing was way worse when trying to move away from the jab. I don’t think Fundora figured anything out, he just got a break and did what he had to. Still a pretty good performance though

That Tszyu beatable and he gained confidence as the fight went longer and was getting in the grove.Of course the first two rounds Fundora and Tszyu assessing each other out.Feeling out rounds.Tim came out smoking.Tszyu was dangerous early but can be boxed and that Tszyu only does one thing at a time.He doesn’t throw many shots. So he just keep popping him on the outside and pepper him with jabs and hooks from range.Tszyu will have a hard time getting his offence rolling.

I haven't seen this yet apart from the final minute of the last round but what I've read the cut changed the whole direction of the fight?

Wouldn't tsyu also have a full training camp preparing for him which must make a difference right?

Tim was winning easily until the cut. I can't imagine he'll get cut like that in a rematch so I'll pick Tim.

Of course Tim, though not without problems as Fundora now got twelve rounds against him, and a huge confidence boost.

It was painfully obvious Tszyu was fighting compromised the moment he came out for the third (if it was a sudden adjustement, then all boxers should lick Fundora's corner bumholes and beg them to work with them, because that's some Eddie Futch level adaptability), and Tszyu still gave one hell of a performance, going out on a shield in the 12th.

Sebastian should enjoy the next few months of being a champion, and winning and losing aside, both him and Tim should be greateful, because among some of the more stinky, predictable, or brutally utcomes and lossess in boxing, that was an instant bloody (and) captivating classic in my book.
