Hard luck for Slick Willie. He came to win and fought with the heart of a Queenslander. I thought the stoppage was a bit harsh at the time because I thought Liam was winning and defending himself. But upon subsequent viewings I think I'm ok with it, the ref was looking at him long and hard before stepping in. He looked out on his feet and was dream punching in reply.
I hope the American referees over there this weekend don't suddenly start applying British stoppages to Australian fighters. All American referees should really be issued with stethoscopes when refereeing fights involving Australian fighters. If they are in doubt as to whether a fight should be stopped, they should apply the stethoscope. If a heartbeat is detected, the fight should be allowed to continue. Party in the TszyUSA!
There it went. Zerafa's long awaited chance slipped through his fingers like a handful of sand. Banana skin 1. Sure hope Tszyu fares better.
TBH Timmo was just unlucky simple as that. But Zerafa and Wilson got absolutely belted. Tim's completely on another level he would have won if not for that ****ing cut. But that's the game. True champion he wanted to fight and did his best could have easily quit before 4 ( according to some it would have been deemed a NC? ) heart of a Lion Mind of a Warrior he wanted to give the fans a show and no cop out. ****ing legend.
Tough weekend lads anyway I am proud of our boys apart from Zerafa they all showed the heart of a warrior.
