Nice one mate. The difference from Dubois was the great heart shown by Wardley.

Just goes to show - you can have all the technical skills and amateur experience but if someone else just wants it more, these things level out. Surely worth a bigger money rematch now (except Sky would try to make it PPV and stick a women’s fight as the chief support).

Watching the TalkSport ringside watch-along from earlier - nice to see Adam Smith as the ringmaster and hype merchant but giving the commentary away to John Rawling. Would be a great setup if you could play that along with the Sky coverage.

Beltran won the fight and it was not close.

Billy Nelson performed a miracle in the corner that night to motivate Burns to keep going for 8 rounds with a broken jaw.

Warrior Code passed with flying colours.

With your superior insights not having even seen the fight. I am sure you can spar both and give them the benefit of your boxing knowledge to help them in the rematch you whopper.
Happy to visit you in whichever hospital you end up in

Proper heavyweight domestic dust up that. Both fighters left nothing in the ring. Most of us here know nothing of what they both put themselves through. Cracking bought.

How many times did Clarke get away with spitting out his gum shield AFTER getting buzzed. That had far more baring on the fight than a few back hand flicks which Tyson Fury has been getting away with his whole career.

    Just watched on YouTube.
Cracking fight- much better than watching a one sided world title fight.

Both men did themselves proud tonight.
Hopefully will both make good money in the rematch

Just watched the highlights and can’t see a case for Clarke by 3 rounds at all. close but clear for Wardley from what I saw, then add in KD and point deduction. Great fight.

I would disagree with that and thought Fosters card was fair. For me Clarke controlled most of the fight with his jab and used the uppercut well. Wardley had the more eye catching shots and is clearly more heavy handed, but Clarke’s accumulation caused the severe damage to Wardleys face.
Both men deserve credit for what already will be a British fight of the year contender.
Clearly Clarke is a better all round fighter and Wardley looks very limited, but he more than makes up for that with his heart and desire and a good chin.
They both deserve a good rest and an even better payday for any rematch.
