Fighters who fought on with a bad cut/bloody face and won

    Last weekend's fight between Tszyu and Fundora had me thinking about this. What fighters suffered a bad cut from either a punch, headbutt, or elbow to the point that the blood kept pouring out on their face in the following rounds but they still manage to pull off a win under those circumstances?

    First fight that comes to mind is Victor Galindez vs Richie Kates.

    Sean O´Grady- Shig Fukuyama Credit must be given to the victor but it was criminal that it allowed to continue.

    Harry appeared more squeamish when Chuck Wepner fought Joe Bugner. He wouldn't even give the Wepner corner a chance to sort out Wepner's cut. He didn't call in a doctor or allow the cutman to do his thing. He just stopped it while looking over his shoulder. Wepner stated afterwards, "I've cut myself worse while shaving."

    Marciano had his nose split open down to the cartilage against former champ Ezzard Charles in their second fight in September 1954 .The gash happened in the 6th round...and the ref and the doctor gave them one more round because cutman Freddie Brown couldn't stem the flow of blood. Rocky stormed out...KO'd Charles...and kept the title. That's what a champion does. He doesn't quit on his stool...he doesn't bite a man's ear off to get DQ'd...he goes out there...does what he has to do to win!

    James J Jefferies against Bob Fitzsimmons 2.
    Fitzsimmons cut Jefferies face in many places, Bobs hand wraps were 'allegedly' not legit, something Bob never denied.

    Sean "The Champ" O'Grady vs Jim Watt, for Watt's belt, 1980 Glasgow.

    O'Grady was beating the brakes off Watt, who had a bad bleeding cut over his right eye. I've stopped
    the video at the point where Watt obviously and deliberately headbutts Sean, whose forehead splits open
    and begins to bleed profusely. In this round Watt had already headbutted Sean and threw a rabbit punch.
    O'Grady and his team had been subjected to tremendous abuse by the Scots during their trip. This was
    during "The Troubles" between the IRA and the UK and the idiot Scots couldn't differentiate between an
    American and an Irishman.

    The fight gets stopped with Watt winning by TKO. Meanwhile the fight could have been stopped rounds earlier
    as Watt was also bleeding badly. A national disgrace.
