This content is protected Nothing will stop Ioka from being the unified champ at super flyweight or proving he is an all time great badass! Puma Martinez is no joke, could very well be the most dangerous fighter at the weight. Regardless..... WAR IOKA!!!
Hot damn that's a great fight! Ioka wasn't able to secure a fight with Gallo but this more than makes up for that, especially given how dangerous Martinez is. I don't know who wins this but Ioka definitely needs to be in his A-game for this.
It's going to be a close fight, I prefer Ioka against Martinez rather than against Jesse Rodriguez. Ioka is better than Jerwin Ancajas, Martinez's inactivity makes him favorite for me.
I also find Kazuto Ioka really underrated in the p4p rankings, unification is a good thing to highlight him. If he loses it doesn't matter, he is the first Japanese who was world champion in 4 different weight categories in history.
If Ioka manages to pull off a win over Martinez I would like to see him go after the winner of Bam/Estrada or Chocolatito. It's a shame that Martinez has been pretty inactive. I would have liked to have seen him against Estrada or Chocolatito given how well their styles would make for an amazing fight.
Because he has attained the highest order of Japanese Slickness which is an elite school of slickness and he has complete control over his Slickness for every second of the fight and applies it in such understated and economical fashion he snake charms his opponent into believing he's not actually slick whilst in reality they're being taken to slick school I like to call it invisible Slickness. He's not saying look at how slick I am, marvel at my slickness, OMG how amazingly slick am I like they do across the pond. His brand of Slickness is the complete antithesis of the American school of slickness which is a fear based school of Slickness where practitioners of it are constantly trying to convince you how slick they are to mask their pathological fear of getting hit. Ioka doesn't want his opponent to think he's slick at all. And because he has a tattoo of Hachiman aka the Japanese God of war running the length and width of his testicles
Japan for the lower weights Mexican and americans for mid weight Leave the big weights to the big europeans.
In the modern day it seems there's an extreme case of short term memory as well as even more national selectiveness. legacy only matters if you're already in the list, unfortunately. he has a much greater body of work than almost all fighters currently on the list and still going strong
When it comes to slickness, you need to have good fitness to bring the wickedness with the quickness to get a diehard fanbase to witness.
