I thought Tszyu would get him out of there by 7 tops before the cut. the fault is of the ignorant corner who should have stopped the fight by the 5th-6th round due to that nasty gash / vision issues. similiar to what Robert García did for his brother Mikey vs siri Salido. Perfect example. Smart knowledgeable corner’s protect their fighter from Losses & unnecessary punishment. Tszyu needs a new corner
Fundora deserves massive credit. He is a top fighter at 154lbs and almost impossible to figure out. I would love to see him vs Mell Charlo.
Firstly you can't drench a fighter and paint the ring red with ''table spoons'' of blood Secondly, a lot of the blood was also absorbed by the towel in between rounds in his corner And last but by no means least. There is such a thing as internal bleeding too you know. Do you need to see a bird in its nest to know that a bird lives in it?
Like I said, it was at least that much and my estimate was a conservative one. But either way, he lost a lot of blood and was partially blind or blind for 10 rounds of a 12 round fight and was seriously compromised and it completely changed the complexion of the fight
I give Tszyu credit, I like Tszyu, he is one of my current favorite boxers. A rematch will tell us more. Let the best man win. You don't have to be number one to be a top entertaining boxer. Fundora is a tough puzzle for anybody to figure out. The Towering Inferno kinda stole the show.
You’re sticking to your story then. Yeah I agree the bulk of the match was ruined by an accidental foul and lacklustre advice by Tszyu’s corner.
What’s the truth and honour pal? I’m assuming it’s not the notion of a direct proverbial laser response from a satellite. Not that you’d know anything about that..
5 pints of blood is ridiculous. This dude has obviously never seen what two pints on the floor looks like. Losing that much would require a transfusion. It is half the blood in a body. Use google man, please. It was a bad cut but not one of the worst I've seen and in a pretty fine location not really inhibiting his vision. His main issue was he couldn't close the distance with any tools except walking right in and getting popped with a jab, that was a lack of fundamentals. Fundora was an opponent coming in off of a KO loss (from a guy Tim beat) who was accepted to be a future highlight for Tim. People were speculating Fundora's punch resistance had gone from the Lubin fight. In place of a really washed up Thurman they put someone there to lose, it seems Tim just didn't want to fight a live body. Now people are saying smeared blood from a pretty bad (but not super brutal) cut is half the blood a human body can lose. Apparently Timmy was on death's door because he couldn't deal with a taller guy who didn't just brawl and fold. Tim got cleaned up just fine and didn't protect the cut, that's why the situation devolved, he was getting popped. It wasn't like he just sat there and let Fundora rub sandpaper in his forehead for 10 rounds. Google: Amount of blood in human body (10 units) Google: One unit of blood (1 pint) Google: Amount of blood loss before transfusion needed (30%)
My conservative estimate was 5 pints. In reality it was more like 7-8 and, as said, Tszyu was very lucky it wasn't a 15 rounder because if it was his next title fight would've been staged in heaven or perhaps even hell
