That was the commmon theme with those who hate on 3G. But all Lara did was social media call outs. They never made an type of offer, never moved up until recent.
If limited, one dimensional come forward fighters like Angulo or Hurd were able to give Lara some problems one could imagine how GGG would have done. GGG was not only a more dynamic fighter than those 2 he was a more intelligent boxer who would have chopped down Lara.
It's crazy how flo.mos and Clenidiots hate this guy so much for simply trying to unify his division while NOT acting like a complete deck stacking diva or women beating POS.
Agree with most of it but you have much better faith than I do In Golovkin's ability to cut the ring. He was literally complaining that Canelo needed to fight "Mexican style" after the 1st fight because slow ass Canelo's footwork was a problem for him lol.
He wanted 'Mexican Style' because he was goading Canelo in to leaving his own game plan. Footwork wasn't a problem in the first fight. The problem was garbage scoring that 90% of the world saw as a clear as day robbery.
Golovkin by KO, he had no problem tracking down slicks. As usual the narrative with Golovkin is bent, since people say Golovkin ducked him but if he'd fought the 154lb fighter he'd be attacked for picking on a smaller opponent.
I'm just highlighting the fact that if a guy comes in that committed to ride his bike G wouldn't fare much better trying to chase him. Remember Lara isn't just a runner, he was/is a great boxer to boot. And I gave the 1st fight to G but it was close enough that I couldn't call either way a robbery honestly. Close fights can't be robbery. I wonder how Lara in his current state with the pop he's got would do agaisnt Golovkin though....
Close fights CAN be a robbery. Especially when the HUGE general consensus is 3G won. Feel free to stick to your narrative 3G cannot cut off the ring effectively. You are simply wrong on that, and that's not even opinion. And Lara struggles with a slow as molasses Angulo. He had every opportunity to move to 160 and challenge 3G. He simply used his name in social media for attention.
Canelo's footwork had little to do with it. The problem is that Canelo was countering his aggression and he wanted to return the favour, which he did.
Lara never fought any other middleweight to prove he was even capable there. Why would he get to jump ahead of everyone else? He had a chance to make some noise at 160, he never did. He never wanted to fight Golovkin ever.
