Like but don't like. You're talking about my adopted family member. It's personal.

Hmm? This is a really hard fight to predict, I cannot argue about your analysis of Patterson's skills or the prediction of a Floyd decision win, this is a very plausible scenario. It might come down to does Norton hurt Patterson at some point in the fight and seize momentum? The interaction between the styles here would be fascinating to watch, also does Floyd have the power to stun Norton? I'd say he does but I wouldn't predict a Floyd KO.

MAN...this is a tough one!! I'd go with Patterson in a VERY close decision--(and probably a split decision that would be controversial--not unlike Norton's fights with Ali.)

Patterson hit a lot harder than Young, & a good deal harder than he’s often credited for. I’m not predicting a KO but he can certainly take Norton off his feet.

Ken Norton was huge (by HW standards) back then and I'm pretty sure most HWs Floyd fought and dispatched were sub 200 so I do think it would be a task for Floyd. I still see Floyd's speed (of hand and foot) being too much. And let's be honest Floyd had enough power IMO to stop Norton. Floyd landing in combination on someone who doesn't have the sturdiest chin...........................

And I know Patterson didn't have the sturdiest chin either but I'm almost always gonna lean towards the speed/power guy. He's usually gonna land first and land more.

Norton 7-5 decision. Norton wins by jabbing and moving. Patterson steals 5 rounds with his quick flurries. Not sure how a 15 rounder goes

I think Norton had a style that would bother Floyd. I'll go with Norton. Yes, Floyd won over Bonavena and Chuvalo, but, well, didn't Norton have better boxing skills than those two men? I think so. But I think Bonavena would have beaten Norton. Styles makes fights.

Had to think for a while, wanted to go for a draw but it wasn't an option. Both win one in a series. Decided to vote for Ken, saw how much of an underdog Floyd was made, switched my vote.

The poll results are absurd. I can see why Norton would have more votes but by this margin, is shocking.

    Norton.

Better, longer jab. Awkward and can close all the angles Floyd likes to play outside at with the crossgaurd. Will crash into, smother, and outwork Patterson inside should he try to leap in.

That being said, Floyd was brilliant. He is definitely making it competitive, he is definitely landing.

I was a big Norton fan but I am a bigger Patterson fan, but trying to be objective as a boxing analyst I think Patterson wins this in easy fashion. Norton was not in the same zip code as Patterson as far as his overall skill set and I actually think his clumsiness works in Patterson’s favor.

Again I think Patterson is dreadfully underrated here and that people here can be literally bewitched by big punchers.

And Patterson couldn’t hit hard? Good grief.
