One of the greatest Super Fly world champions of recent years 6 years as IBF world champion. With his first career knockout loss to Takuma Inoue for the WBA belt, his move to the Bantamweight seems to have been a bust. At the Bantamweight division I found him really too slow with his weight gain and the wars against Martinez have left their mark. At the age of 32, do you see him returning to the Super Fly or is he going to end his career?
This is the first time he has lost before the limit. The wars against Martinez have left their mark. However, he lost against Takuma Inoue who is surely the 2nd or 3rd best bantamweight currently for me. We still have to qualify this, plus the Takuma Inoue who defeated Ancajas is clearly at his peak, far from the Takuma Inoue who faced Tasana Salapat or Nordine Oubaali in the past. I just didn't find him good in the Bantamweight division, as such it's his first fight and he hasn't had any adaptation fights. Because Daigo Higa was also catastrophic for the Bantamweight. Now it's true that Daigo Higa moved up two weight categories, while Ancajas only moved up one and he looked way too slow, so his left hooks seem to have become ineffective.
Defensively he remained too much in a straight line and without head movement. I also think that he underestimated Takuma Inoue which is understandable given the statistics, he is the world champion with the lowest KO rate.
X Ancajas is not a natural southpaw and he looks like he doesn’t move naturally as a result. Also he has been in too many wars and mileage on his career.I always thought Ancajas was overachieving for his limitations in talent and ability. He is no Donaire or Pacquiao.Casimero better than him.Casimero just moved up in weight looks like he id fighting weight bullies guys there are bigger.Plus Casimero lazy in training is a huge problem at the moment. He is not one of those gym junkies.
Jerwin Ancajas does not have the talent of Donaire or Pacquiao, moreover his reign is in the shadow of his two compatriots it's the truth and he know it. It will still have made Super Fly history for me. Coming to Casimero, I find that his last fight was not the result of a lack of training (I really feel he was prepared like with Zolani Tete). I just think that the former IBF Super Bantamweight world champion Yukinori Oguni is really too strong, Casimero spoiled the fight to avoid being humiliated. Masayoshi Nakatani came to the same conclusion while commenting on the fight.
The difference was when he fought Tete he was training in the US of A under memo conditioning and nonoy neri (MPpromotion top trainer) Now he flipped off MP and is training in the jungle in the Philippines with his brother.Professional trainers who have been producing elite athletes to now training diy style in the jungle is a worlds apart.Plus on top of that this guy is lazy.He wants to end fights with one shot that tells you he doesn’t train to go the distance.Quickly! i think he is done with the poor work ethics.
