If Usyk fights on after Fury, he ought to abandon the paper IBF belt and fight Parker

Do you agree Usyk should fight Parker after Fury, if he fights on?

  2. No, he should waste his time with retreads and mediocrities.

If Zhang tried to be more ruthless he would have gassed out and fell over

What drugs are you on? Parker has one of the best resumes in the division and has ducked nobody. Though Usyk would beat him it's still a good fight to make.

You say that Hrgovic does not have the pedigree to be important, but if he is the last man standing betweem himself, Joshua and Dubois (with wins against both) and also the IBF champion that fight would make far more sense than Parker.

That said I doubt he will be the last man standing from those three, and Usyk has already beaten the other two

The obvious answer to this is that Wilder had one mandatory and Usyk has four. Also, Usyk would be avoiding his mandatory to fight BETTER competition, not to fight medically unfit guys like Wilder used to.

Wilder has won one fight in four years, and it was a dodgy affair against Sugar Bob Helenius.

Let's let Wilder make the decision to rebuild himself or retire. No walk-ins against living legends, IMO.

Wilder has won one fight in four years. Parker has recently beaten Wilder, and Zhang.

I mean, why not fight Larry Holmes?

I would be fine in theory with Usyk fighting Parker as a reward to Parker for his recent 2 fight win streak. But, the fight would not be competitive. Usyk would have about as much trouble beating the limited Parker as he would beating James Thunder.... Zero. Parker simply isn't a hard enough puncher, or, good enough boxer to compete with Usyk. If Parker really has gotten better (something I do not necessarily agree with), he should rematch AJ. If he beats Joshua in a rematch, I would give him his props. But, I doubt he will.

He has said he knows that he is coming to the end, but I have not heard him say this year. Like a lot of guys, he is ambivalent. He has also talked about moving back down to cruiser, catchweights with Canelo, etc.

And Parker will win again. Meanwhile, Usyk may have to have a rematch with Fury. So it works perfectly.

Yeah, I am not sure how a guy who fought Joshua, Wilder, Ruiz and Whyte ducked anyone.

My point is that, if Usyk beats Fury, he is undisputed, and that really doesn't change because some two-bit organization steals one of the belts back. Hrgovic is not a champion, and neither is Dubois. Joshua clearly lost twice to Usyk in the ring for all the world to see. So only in the sick, Bizzarro world of boxing that a lot of us have come to accept does the winner of Hrgovic-Dubois-Joshua call himself a champion.
