So, there are a couple of things floating around.
    • Crawford DUCKED Boots Ennis
    • Fundora is DUCKING Terence Crawford by considering Spence
    • Canelo is DUCKING Terence Crawford (!?)
Floyd came out and suggested that Crawford fight Benavidez at 168 to earn a Canelo shot, since everyone wants Canelo to fight Benavidez. Beating the main guy in the way would surely catch headlines.

But "elsewhere", people think it's unreasonable for Crawford to fight Benavidez at 168 yet reasonable for Crawford to fight Canelo at 168.

Meanwhile, all of Crawford's other targets except Tank have taken an L recently. Boots got handed the title because Crawford ducked him; and Crawford is now sitting inactive.

Meanwhile Spence storms the ring and (apparently) solidifies a fight with Fundora. Not confirmed but that's the impression given off by Sam Watson

The question is, Who is ducking Who? What say ye?

Can't talk about ducking without talking about the ducking king Fury.

Crawford challenged Boots Ennis and offered him the fight on BLK Prime. There was literally an offer:

    -------

    https://3kingsboxing.com/team-ennis-loyalty-showtime-rejects-blk/

"Terence Crawford is the WBO welterweight champion. On February 27, Crawford was ordered by the sanctioning body to face number one contender Alex Rocha. During an interview on the Stamina For Sale podcast, Bozy said that BLK Prime approached him about proposing a matchup between his son and Bud, but things quickly went nowhere.

According to Bozy, BLK Prime wanted to make the fight without any input from SHOWTIME and that was a non-starter. He explained his rationale and made the following revelation in the process:

"“We was trying to set up a fight with him (Terence Crawford) last month, because BLK people called us . . . They said, ‘let’s sit down and talk’. I said, ‘oh, you gotta talk to my people first though – SHOWTIME.

I’m loyal to SHOWTIME. I’m going to tell y’all, I never signed nothing with SHOWTIME. My word is my bond. Three-fight deal – and whatever we say, we do it. You know a lot of people want Boots. From DAZN to Top Rank, all of them wanted Boots.

But when I tell somebody something, I’m loyal to them. They treat me good. When somebody treats me good, I’m going to treat them good. They fair with me, I’m fair with them, with no signing, no contract. My word is my bond . . . These people treat me and Boots real good.”"

As a point of clarification for those who may find a contradiction in Bozy’s comments, Boots did sign a three-fight deal with the network in March 2022. However, that deal does not tie him contractually with the PBC."

    ------

And the Ennis squad literally ducked the fight...but I'm sure jokes like yourself will keep pedaling nonsense.

Ducking? Have you ever watched an interview from someone that’s getting accused of ducking?

It’s all about money and perceived public perception.

None of those are ducks and the only people I have seen even saying that are trolls.

Canelo is ducking Benevidez. That has been made very clear. The Fundora accusation is totally baseless and idiotic. Fundora would fight either Spence or Crawford because the pay would be good so that is just nonsense. That fight also does nothing for Crawford.

As already mentioned Crawford most certainly isn't ducking Boots. There is nothing to gain for Crawford as well. Boots is highly ranked as a welter but he has yet to beat anyone good. He also brings no money at all and Crawford is at the end of his prime and likely wants a money fight. I personally think Crawford would brutally KO Ennis in 5 rounds because Ennis is still getting tagged by much lower level comp and I don't think any of Ennis's opponents have EVER KO'd a fighter I have ever heard of. (OK, I lie... Clayton knocked out a 45 year old Chop Chop Corley who is 1-6 in the last 7 years)

Fundora is not ducking anybody anytime. He made it clear in his post fight press conference he will get in the ring with anyone but that decision is on his promoter Sampson not him.

You literally posted a direct quote from team Boots explaining why the fight didn't come off... yet finished it by contradicting your own quote and accusing Boots of ducking.

BLK Prime trying to cut out Showtime is an absolute joke.

    BLK Prime?????

I don't blame Crawford for not taking the Boots fight. I would like to see the fight but as of right now Boots hasn't really done anything or beaten anybody that would make him the most deserving challenger or most enticing fight for Crawford. The reason the fight is so demanded is because based of the eye test, people think Boots has the best chance of beating Crawford. But that's that's the thing, it's literally just based of the eye test. If Crawford beats Boots dominantly like he probably thinks he would, then he will get some credit sure, but people will still say Boots was too inexperienced, a hype job who had beaten nobody. For where he is in he career it made more sense for him to chase Tszyu as he was a belt holder who'd beaten some top 10 guys and was widely considered to be the best 154lber in the world, and now it makes more sense for him to chase Fundora because Fundora beat the #1 guy and has two belts. If Crawford goes and fights a lackluster opponent at 147 then ignore this reply, because you can then say he ducked boots. But if he fights a top guy at 154 or fights somebody for a title there, then I can't consider this to be a duck.

Canelo was in a similar position with Benavidez in 2021/2022. People said he was ducking him but the way I saw it, Benavidez had blown his Canelo payday by losing his title to a lack of discipline, and he hadn't really done a whole lot in his career that made him a deserving challenger of Canelo. Made more sense for Canelo to move up and fight Bivol which if he had won would've done more for his legacy than beating Benavidez at that point. But now, in 2024 Canelo must certainly be considered to be ducking Benavidez. Benavidez beat Plant and Andrade back to back in 2023. A former Canelo opponent and a potential Canelo opponent, beaten clearly in one year. With those wins he made himself by far the most deserving challenger in the division. Yet Canelo elected to fight 154lber Charlo and is now fighting Munguia while demanding 200 million for a Benavidez fight. Neither for those guys are more worthy challengers than Benavidez. There is no good reason why he would be fighting them instead of Benavidez. Not even like they're bigger paydays for him. Right now, this looks like a duck. If Canelo doesn't fight Benavidez this will leave a stain on his career.

I've been ducking my weight set since December of 2023. Every time I pass by it in the garage, I can feel it taunt me. I hurt my wrist at work, I'm not ducking, I'll take the fade in May for sure.

There's needs to be a universal #1 contender system and 1 world champ per division, this would clear out all the ducking accusations quickly

Bozy and Jaron had no contract w Showtime and - after all their complaining of top dogs ducking - they passed on the chance to be the #1/#2 WW and legitimately call the shots. Not to mention Ennis makes more money fighting Bud than the contenders he went on to fight.

As predicted, you confabulated some conspiracy that frees up Jaron Ennis from avoiding Bud Crawford...and somehow, in your peanut mind, Bud is still ducking.

Its honestly funny at this point

"BLK Prime" and Terence Crawford did not make a serious offer if they wanted to cut Showtime out. Don't be silly. TC had already made up his mind to move up in weight.

Tyson Fury ducked (in a haters mind):

    David Price
    McDermott trilogy
    Ustinov
    Both Klitscko's
    Steve Cunningham rematch
    David Haye
    Deontay Wilder
    Anthony Joshua
    Agit Kabayel
    Zilly Zang
    Joe Joyce
    Oleksandr Usyk twice
    Nnganou rematch

The hard truth for these people is Fury is 40 days away from retiring as the lineal undisputed 3x ring magazine heavyweight CHAMPION OF THE WORLD. The best of his era 2015-2024. Uncontested. Unmolested.

More importantly, Espinoza (Showtime) is on record recently admitting there was NO offer from Showtime from that fight - and there would need to have been in order for Boots to fight on that platform because of Boots' contract. Meaning there was no valid offer, it was BLK calling around trying to gauge interest.

Now, if rumors are true that Crawford has settled on Madrimov...that would basically mean he's DUCKING Tszyu and/or Fundora and/or Danny Swift etc etc etc etc etc. Just throwing out names and then fighting someone else again.

Because Crawford CAN fight whoever...but he has to take a pay cut because he wouldn't be the A-Side except in a Spence rematch, which apparently isn't happening, or against Boots which Crawford refused.
