Trinidad by late stoppage. Margarito was more than willing to walk through shots to impose his will on his opponents. That strategy, along with his porous defense cost him against Mosley, and it would cost him against Trinidad as well, who had excellent power @ 147. Trinidad's shots were faster, straighter, and more precise.

Margarito didn't have the kind of one punch power to stop Trinidad, and I don't see him landing enough to be able to break Felix down. Margarito did have a very difficult chin to crack, but I think Trinidad would eventually get through and stop him around round 10. Even loaded gloves wouldn't save Margarito in this one.

Trinidad stops Margarito brutally. His entire career I have never seen anyone walk to and press Tito and win the fight (other than one of the sturdiest defensive fighters in history: Winky).

The macho Margarito would definitely go down in flames. This would be brutal.

    A repeat of Trinidad/Mayorga.

Margarito has his moments early on but gets stopped in the 2nd half of the fight, no come forward fighter with little to no defence is lasting vs Tito at Welterweight.

Personally, I don't even think Tony makes it into the late rounds of this fight. I think by round 6 he's getting stopped. He was tailor made for someone like Trinidad.

Tito stops him by the middle rounds. Would be a hellacious beating.

The battle for the undisputed tampered gloves championship of the universe!!

If it goes late I think Margarito could win. And remember Tito got decked early in fights before he got going.

    Trinidad TKO 8 Margarito

Explain how Tito “tampered” his gloves? He used a very normal method of tape, gauze which is commonly used everywhere but NY/NJ has a technicality on it on the amount of gauze used. You’d be surprised just how many other fighters used the exact same method of wrapping: De La Hoya (he got pulled on it in NJ), Canelo, Barrera, Chavez, Pacquaio, Mayweather, Marquez, Arguello and many more.

Self explanatory. He had to rewrap his gloves for a reason.

Antonio Margacheato? PLEASE!! More like Tito "el Cheato" Trinidad!!

Tons of fighters have had to re-wrap. They found nothing illegal. The commission themselves said so. Just because a corner objects doesn’t make it “illegal.” Hence, no suspension. Margarito was fined and suspended.

Cheato Tito's people rewrapped the hands so it would pass inspection because it FAILED inspection the first time. That's why Cheato wasn't fined and/or suspended.
