Just gonna start this with a disclaimer: I'm a fan of both with Usyk being my favourite fighter. I want Usyk to win. Now that the date is fast approaching the bookies have settled on Fury at 2/1 and Usyk at 1.8/1, a drastic shift of odds since the Ngannou fight. Enough that I'm considering putting money on Fury by late TKO by bodyshot accumulation. Are people overlooking Fury too early? Does he have a game plan that Usyk won't be able to handle? The promoters and Turki seem to be indicating that they expect Fury to win and eventually face AJ. Please discuss and keep it civil.
I actually had $200 on Usyk when the fight was on for February then the fight got cancelled so Sportsbet refunded me. At that time I think Usyk was around $2.20 and Fury was a slight favorite. Now Usyk is the slight favorite at $1.84 and Fury is at $2.10 so I might put that $200 on Fury now. I keep changing my mind I can see scenarios where both guys can win.
This is the fight that Usyk has been dreaming about and working towards for the past six years. I think many here will be surprised how well he does against Fury. Usyk TKO 10
Hate seems to have distorted the objectivity and judgement of some. If Fury is coming in at underdog odds he is worth a wager.
IMHO - yes! Why? Because for Fury this is the crowning glory of his career; for him this is "all or nothing". It's not all or nothing for Usyk, he's already the CW GOAT.
Maybe Al Turki betted huge on Usyk, and pretending that he's backing Fury to beat Usyk? Or maybe they arranged everything to help Fury beat Usyk, who has no lobby power? And they will make the mega undisputed fight duology between Fury and AJ? One thing is sure: Usyk can't beat the British lobby and the likes of rich promoters Al Turki, Warren and Hearn. His country is in turmoil in the war between the Western countries and Russia.
I believe Fury will win. But regardless of who wins, I'm just fired-up to see the fight, and am fired-up we will finally (in theory at least) have an undisputed heavyweight world champion for the first time in nearly a quarter century. This content is protected
Incidentally, where are you seeing those odds? DraftKings has Fury at -115 and Usyk at -110 which is effectively even odds, with the slightest insignificant edge going to Fury.
