I think he and his team are piissing Frank off. Tunde the clown thinks Yarde is Muhammad Ali. Also hilarious how protective of Frank, Eddie is now. Yet he goes in on Ben Shalom for sometimes no reason at all, all the time
Eddie's.like that. Likes to drive folk he sees beneath him into the ground. Frank's on top.of Eddie now. He can't do sh*t to Frank except crawl up to him.
Wonder if there'll be another article in the Times this weekend describing Yarde being poached for Boxxer by a mysterious middle man
Frank is painting it as another Okolie situation. Insists Yarde is still under contract. This content is protected If this is anything other than an open and shut contract reaching its natural end, Yarde has been very badly advised. From the outside, Queensberry have done very well by him. They must have spent a fortune getting Beterbiev over, and surely no way they turned a profit in Wembley Arena that night. No boxer should blindly stay with a promoter if there's a better offer out there, but neither should they breach a contract.
I'm sure Boxxer will offer him loads of money to sign for them. They could do with a ready-made star, rather than a project. He'll probably be their main event star.
Yeah I even saw a clip from James English where Jodie Marsh was saying he was a horrific bully at school.
People only go in on those they see as worrying rivals. Let's face it, you don't waste your time, breath and energy on those who are nobodies, do you... I suspect Eddie is jealous that Ben is starting to make a fist of it at SKY.
He seems very hierarchical. If things aren't going how he likes them to go he uses force. Whether that is physical or mental bullying that's his M.O. Every dog has its day Eddie and its back on Frank's day now. But no doubt Eddie is waiting to pounce. As soon as he sees an opportunity Eddie will strike again. Looking fwd to his patter when it comes.
Forgot about Jodie Marsh, goes on about bullying but tried to keep herself relevant by going to the press and bodyshaming anyone that went near her.
Indeed, this forum had its own "Yarde bum carousel" thread, it got that bad... basically cheap content for BT Sport for a while.
Ended up watching an interview with the Hearns and Piers Morgan last weekend. Barry's answers versus Eddie's are interesting in how they both see the world. Eddie thinks 'winning' is about beating people; Barry thinks it's about building something sustainable. It's hard to argue Barry is wrong given they have a business worth (on paper at least) a billion quid or more, mostly thanks to long term guaranteed TV content deals that Barry spent 30+ years putting in place going back to the days of Screensport on cable. Winning in the short term against other, relatively small-time promoters as Eddie seems to enjoy, doesn't seem to align with that.
