    Moreno is a highly regarded and skillful former world champion - but that was down at bantam, well over a decade ago. He is giving up 1½" of height and 14 years of youth against Tsutsumi, but has been keeping active of late and in pretty good form: he's riding a 5 year undefeated streak of 7-0 at both 126 and 130lbs in this present comeback that began two years after being kayoed by Julio Ceja in 2017.

    This would have been a bit more compelling if Moreno wasn´t coming off of a year layoff.

    In the amateurs Tsutsumi went 3-1 vs fellow undefeated Japanese prospect Keisuke Matsumoto, who currently holds the Japanese title. He's 10-0 (7 KO) with good wins vs Jinki Maeda and Ryo Sagawa. Sagawa actually beat Reiya Abe back in 2019.

    So yeah, Tsutsumi is very likely very good and a future world title challenger. I've watched Matsumoto, but haven't had the pleasure of seeing Shunto yet. Will be happy to see him in action

    I like both it's a interesting fight experience vs young prospect.

    But I hope it will not be a knockout for Moreno it will be sad for the bantamweight king.

    I also always assumed it meant like "chemist" or something (that would be químico). Turns out it's just a diminutive of Chema, which in turn is a nickname for the names José María or José Manuel. Neither of which, interestingly, is Moreno's name. Go fig.

    Disappointing as this is his second miss, the thing is he doesn't actually look very big so I'm guessing it's more than he's just cutting weight wrong more than anything elss

    Especially with coming after Tsutsumi had trouble on the scales.

    Timing feels like they waited for the weigh-in...make you wonder if Moreno would have been an even wider underdog before.

    Winning 125 bucks with a 25 dollar bet is an enticing affair. Maybe it's just me wanting to believe Anselmo has one more in him.
