I want to see Ryan fight the other top guys at 140 before moving up.

Jaron obliterating Ryan (and he most assuredly would) is not a legacy fight for him. None of them coming up would be a legacy fight for him. Boots is recognized as a legit killer. His legacy fights will be at JMW and MW (mainly MW)

Ryan Garcia isnt a legacy fight for no one.

    Ennis would ruin him.

I’d like to see this fight but don’t know what it does for Ennis. I’m an Ennis fan and want to see him become a star in this sport but Garcia is still a young guy who scored a MD against Haney (I thought it should have been a wide UD) and has a win over an old Luke Campbell. Also Garcia has never officially fought at 147. Maybe he’s a good target for Ennis after Ryan scores a win at the weight. A win now does nothing except prove Haney was a paper champ hypejob.

Ennis wins a fight against Garcia, probably by KO, and possibly gains popularity with casual fans but I don’t think it increases his stock much at 147. At least not yet. That said, I’ll watch it.

Maybe just to keep Ennis occupied while Santillan and Stanionis are busy in May. Boots should beat both, but those two are bigger threats to Ennis than Ryan ever will be.

Super Boots is bigger than Ryan, has a significantly longer reach than him, and even though he weighs about the same or even less than Haney he hits way harder and is a lot more explosive than Haney

I told you al long ago that Luke Campbell can really crack and that was a peach of a shot. Ryan was out for a split second there but I give him a lot of credit because he recovered very quickly and he went right at Luke after hauling himself back up off the canvas. No running or holding

Sure Ryan has that nasty left hook but Super Boots is a big 147 pounder who hits extremely hard for that weight class. Old past prime leprechaun Loma can beat Haney but I'm not an idiot and even a prime Loma can't beat Super Boots despite the fact Haney is at worst the same size as Super Boots. Super Boots is not only way too big and long but he's way too big, long and powerful and he has excellent skills too and he would violently KO Loma. The same would apply for Ryan vs Super Boots too with the outside chance that a bulked up much heavier 147 Ryan might hit even harder with that pet left hook of his at 147 and Super Boots' chin isn't proven yet. But I'd favour Super Boots via KO

Ryan doesn't possess elite skills he just possesses elite power and speed and is tall and rangy. Super Boots is considerably more skilled

Ennis would spark Garcia out. I don't understand why he wants to compete at 147 when there's big fights to be made at 140 pounds. He needs to be more disciplined because he should be able to make 140 lbs easily.

He’s just lazy. He can def make 140 still. Was he trolling before the Haney fight? Yeah maybe a little but I would be he was still extremely undisciplined he just played it up. If he goes to 147 he needs to acclimate first that fast left hook can hurt anyone and he will always had a punchers chance.

The funny thing is.......you are serious.

Please explain to me how TF Ryan is a "legacy" fight for Jaron Ennis.

Ryan has never won a world title. Hasn't won an Olympic medal. Last time he was ever close to elite was competing as a kid.

Boots looking for a legacy, he needs to face someone who's accomplished something at his division at the very least. Boots himself hasn't done anything outside of open an email and find out he was IBF champion.

It's hilarious that people respect him so much for doing so little in the ring. His legacy has been built on getting in front of a camera and claiming people are avoiding him. Yet, he and his dad can't name a single fighter they turned down an official offer. And goofy fans who know little about him beyond his highlights actually believe he's "head and shoulders" better than the fighters in his division, yet, he only fights smaller opponents moving up from lightweight so he can claim to be stronger, bigger, and faster.

Ryan should have been more professional and he would have the belts. He chose to be an a$$ clown in order to market the fight. It's disrespectful to the sport.....Comingin 3 lbs overweight and not caring. Even choosing to down a beer right before stepping on the scale. You approve of that?......

I do hate that the WBC chose to let Haney keep that title. It was a title fight.... It was a title defense. So what Ryan didn't make weight. The fight was announced as a title defense. He lost. Badly. This rule wasn't changed for other fighters......I think the only time I can think of this happening was Castillo I believe.

How do you know it would sell on PPV.... Boots has never headlined a major card before. Wow....y'all are really hyped on that man who's done nothing in the sport.

Why TF are you calling him Super Boots..... Boots has accomplished no more than any of the other prospects in his division. He just so happen to open up an email and get good news after the real champ was stripped just weeks after becoming undisputed.

Honestly, I think Ryan's antics probably hurt his brand, maybe....we'll see. But if he fought Boots, he would still be the A side because this sport is all about marketing power and Boots hasn't accomplished anything that suggest he deserves to be the marketing point in that match up.

He said at the post fight conference he cannot make 140. He’ll move up unless the others at 140 agree to a catchweight.

If he moves to 147 Garcia would be wise to have a tune- up before facing Boots. But, Garcia may not be wise..
