Apologies if this has been done before. Debated this with a few people and were split 50 50. Does Patterson out box Baer or does Baer land a huge right to end things...

Well we know what happened when Floyd fought a (Big Ugly) Bear, so that should give us a clue as to how it would go against a (Big Handsome) Baer.

Floyd Patterson doesn't have the defensive wizardry of his more famous Floyd counterpart, he eats a mean Baer right at some point and doesn't have the chin to get up before the count

I like him, but Floyd Patterson was not an out boxer and he would not out box Max Baer. In my view this fight would look a lot like Johansson - Patterson One, and Floyd would not win the rematch this time.

It’s understandable to favor Baer for obvious reasons. But Patterson over came another huge right hander in Johansson so he’s a live underdog

    Imagine equating Baer with Liston.

Baer had Liston's power but lacked any semblance of his skill, had zero jab, zero defense to speak of, and fell halfway to the floor when throwing an uppercut.

That only comes into play if he can land it as consistently as Liston. He didn't have half the skills, nor accuracy to do so.

Floyd moves for a few rounds and wins them, but once Baer actually lands it’s over. Regardless of how many times Floyd gets back up.

Yes because Baer and Liston were exact replicas.

One was an ATG puncher who was very skilled. The other was a very hard puncher, with very little punch variety, and had no defense nor jab (which was quite vital in Liston's victory over Patterson) whatsoever.

Excuse me but, if Jimmy Braddock could beat Max so could Patterson. Floyd is very capable of taking a UD here.

Any comparison between Baer and Liston ends with the right cross. Liston is a much better boxer and much tougher and more intimidating. Floyd fought Bonavena Chuvalo Machen Quarry all pretty good hitters and wasn’t stopped and even beat 3 and 1 was disputed.
Floyd proves too fast for Maxie. Baers got a punchers chance but other then Liston Floyd did outstanding against good punchers.
Someone once said if he really won vs Ellis and Quarry both disputed decisions he’s got some record. Basically only lost to Ali and Liston 2 of the greatest. Ingo was a flash in the pan he avenged Twice. Remember Ingo did the same thing to Machen surprised him. Once Floyd knew about the right hand he won 2 one sided KOs.

If Patterson could be convinced to stick and move he'd win the widest decision in boxing history. If he tried to mix it up with Baer I think Baer would land sooner or later and spin Floyd's head around on his neck two or three times.
