It's becoming an interesting division with fresh faces at the top. With Murtazaliev winning the IBF, Madrimov winning the WBA, Fundora winning the WBC and WBO against a severely affected by the cut Tszyu, and Bohachuk winning the WBC interim. ( And there's also the likes of Radzhab Butaev, Vergil Ortiz Jr, Josh Kelly)
Good pick. I'm thinking either Madrimov or Tszyu, Bohachuk looked brilliant in his last fight, it's just his chin has been cracked once so that's always a concern.
Whew ! I'm not impressed by the list at all,, Bud at the moment takes them apart, but Bud is approaching an age when unusual things happen.
We all know who the best JMW really is...........................his name just ain't on the list. Crazy how someone with all the belts now has zero belts but didn't lose any by conquest
If you mean Jermell Charlo like I think you do.. His last fight was at Super Middleweight, and he hasn't fought at Light Middle for 2 years. Who knows what weight he's gonna come back at or if he's even gonna come back at all -after that embarrassing last performance. He wasn't exactly unbeatable at Light Middle anyway, losing to Harrison and Castano*.
Neither Fundora or Tszyu survive Madrimov. Madrimov Fundora Tszyu Bohachuk - solid fighter but quite basic style. havent seen the other guy.
I just looked, you're right it was 2022 when he rematched Castano (thought it was 23). He's out likely mainly due to the "legal" issues. He lost to Harrison (I personally thought he won the first fight), but either way he avenged it as decisively as one can..................as well as the draw against Castano which the rematch was just as decisive. Charlo was a gunslinger and I don't think anyone at JMW was better than him at that style. Unbeatable doesn't mean anything to me, everyone has someone out there that's a foil
