Canelo at 22 years of age, who turned pro at 15 years of age, is very different than Artur who was 102-13 as an amateur and an amateur European champion at several points, and controversially lost to Xiaoping in 2008 olympics...who was the eventual gold winner.

Artur was 32 years old, not 22, when Ward last fought in 2017. I dont know how much the win wouldve meant but Artur was IBF champion in 2017 when Ward beat Kovalev then retired.

I think Artur would've stopped Ward but I also acknowledge Ward's best weight was clearly SMW.

No. Bivol will have a plan and will enact it. He will fight like a man unlike Spinks who soiled his shorts when he stepped into the ring.

Bivol was very hittable when he was fighting Lyndon. He was targeting body and he had a success.

I think Beterbiev will throw a lot of bodyshots that will damage, hurt and stop Bivol.

Beterbiev was Ward’s mandatory. He had already done a demolition job on Cloud and Campillo and was an elite amateur, he wasn’t exactly unknown

All true, but he wasn't as known as Ward or Kovalev. High risk, low reward type opponent. To my point, if Ward had beaten AB at that time, how much credit would be given for beating an 11 fight pro. If you have been on this site for awhile, you know the hate Ward gets. His detractors, of which there are many, would give him little to no credit. Now, I don't know if that was one of the factors that prompted Ward to bow out, but at least he didn't blatantly duck AB and fight soft touches for several years. And as far as AB running Ward out of boxing and into retirement, I have my doubts. I'm more inclined to believe his injuries had more to do with his retirement than fear of AB.

I agree to be fair. I wouldn’t call it an outright duck but I definitely think the prospect of fighting Beterbiev influenced his choice to retire somewhat

Would happen if Beterbiev didn't have bone crushing power.
