Charles "The Hatchet" Brewer lost to Robert Thomas twice. Thomas was 10-41-3 going into their first fight (Brewer was 14-0) and 15-41-3 heading into their rematch a little less than 4 months later.

Rahman was knocked out twice by Oleg Maskaev.

In between these fights Rahman had beaten Corrie Sanders and Lennox Lewis.

While Maskaev was knocked out cold 3 times.

Me, too. I have Evander Holyfield much higher than Riddick Bowe.

I guess Willie Pep doesn’t count since he lost THREE TIMES (all inside the distance) to Sandy Saddler.

Pep-Saddler is the most triumphant example of this, if only for the fact it was thrice rather than twice. I suppose some could argue Saddler>Pep, but that would primarily be based on Saddler 3-1 Pep, so it reinforces the point anyway.

    Greb-Flowers is another notable one.

Even I wouldn’t. Frankly they were only separated by about 15-20lbs (7-8kgs) at their respective prime weights, & were about the same weight I think in their actual fights.

Joe’s my boy but he’d have to be a Welter for me to consider him better given how one-sided that first fight was.

    Hopkins-Dawson as well

Also, does Terry Norris-Luis Santana count?
