Don’t be shocked if Madrimov gives Crawford a tough fight

The only question in my mind is how does Bud look at 154, at the age of 36, and being inactive. Madrimov is a tough guy but he's only got 11 pro fights so the experience gap is huge . Bud should dominate from a distance with his jab and skill while Madrimov tries to get to him. He'll take punishment doing so. Bud by UD or late stoppage.

Even though you're still salty about the Spence loss.:sisi1 You're 100% spot on here, and I'll go one further, I think Madrimov knocks Crawford out.

I've rewatched the Spence fight a couple times. While I think Crawford was making it a point to stand his ground, show Spence he wasn't the weaker guy, and smash his face in with the jab, his legs have slowed a bit from a few years ago. Even if he wins, I think he's going to be in for a rough night and get hit quite a bit. Madrimov is explosive as hell, fast, and built like a brick wall.

You know..... I think Crawford has received way too much credit for the Spence victory. I went back and watched all of Spence's big fights and all of Crawford's big fights and there was something weird about Spence. If you compare his past ring walks to his ring walk against Crawford, you can see that his eyes were red and his face was sunken in. I'm trying to find the video but there was a video comparing Errol Spence's Speed, balance, and jab vs Garcia to when he fought Crawford and there was a glaring difference. I am not saying Spence ever had the fastest feet, fastest hands, or anything like that. What I'm saying is that he looked much healthier, faster, and powerful in the past compared to Crawford. I don't know if it was weight, him being high on something, or if it was altitude sickness. What I am saying is that Spence did not look right.

Now... before anyone comes in here saying I'm making "excuses". Let's be objective here for a minute. When have we ever seen Crawford look that dominant against an opponent? I don't want to use the "styles make fights" argument either because Horn and Spence have very similar styles (pressure fighters who like the utilize the jab and cut off the ring). Jeff Horn did better against Crawford and Spence is literally two levels above him. Every fighter Crawford faced did better than Spence and Spence is head and shoulders better than all those guys.

Now, what does this have to do with my point? Well, taking in consideration the context of when Crawford fought all of his competition, an argument could be made that Madrimov is better than any fighter Crawford has ever faced including the version of Spence Crawford faced. Madrimove is a really good counterpunch, great footwork, good switch hitter, and his power is pretty underrated. Crawford is 37 and he is not a natural Junior Middleweight. Taking all bias out of the equation, can we say that Porter, Postol, Khan, Brook, Diaz, and Gamboa are better than this version of Madrimov? No, we can't . Khan and Brook were way past their best, Porter was on his way out. Spence was either high or weight-drained, and Crawford has been hurt and dropped by lesser fighters. With all that said, I'm giving Crawford the edge by decision because Crawford is the more talented and athletic fighter. But I would not be surprised if he got clipped and stopped or received a "controversial" decision where everyone thought Madrimov won.

Note: Please excuse the grammar, I'm typing from my phone.

Literally have heard that multiple times.......

Spence was suppose to be the toughest fight....afterwards.....he was "drained"....."car accidents"......"eye wasn't ready"...etc.....

Porter was suppose to be his toughest fight....afterwards.....he was looking to retire...."he didn't train like he wanted"......"he and his dad were at odds"......"he was a shell of himself sense fighting Spence"....etc.....

I could do the same for Postol, Indongo, Gamboa, & Horn.....all were supposed to be fights that Crawford was supposed to get exposed in and or loose......Yet......

So, go ahead and start working on the excuses for him dominating in this fight as well. Hopefully they are a lot more creative than Spence's fans....all they did was rinse and repeat Wilder's fans excuses.

I think a lot of people forget how long some of the greats fought at a high level..... Bernard Hopkins won 3 world titles after the age of 40...retired at the age of 51. Manny won the WBC at age 40. I can't remember but didn't Rigo win his last title at age 40 as well.

Crawford doesn't drink, smoke, or party heavily. He's constantly in the gym and training even when not in camp. You'll never see him not in fighting shape like some of his peers. It's the main reason why early in his career he was called in to fight much more experienced fighters like Prescott, at the last minute and he didn't skip a beat. He remains professional. It's something to be respected.

TC is a bad dude. One of my favorite fighters. Hope he gets past Madrimov. I want to see him take on Ennis.

No guy with 10 fights who is very easy to hit is going to beat Crawford.

I'd rather see him take on Charlo. At least that's a match up vs an accomplished opponent.

The Ennis fascination is cool, but I'm not as high on him as most others hoping for that match up. It's ironic that there is a group out here that claims Crawford has fought nobody, yet he's a 3x Lineal Champion...... Obviously they don't know what a Lineal champion. People don't become that by fighting "nobody"....And they definitely don't do it multiple times while moving up in weight. Those same people talk about Ennis like he walks on water and is beaten up legends in their primes...... I admit, he's exciting to watch. His style is fan friendly. I've been watching him since the amateurs. But if Crawford has fought "nobody" during his career, how is it that Ennis is getting respect.... The man is 31 fights into his professional career and 40% of his opponents have a losing record..... He fought Muldrew who is 1-10.....Teague is 6-34. Flores is 26-34...... Not saying we can't respect the man's talent and look forward to him being great in the future, but I would like to see him fight someone with a pulse in his own division....not a lightweight moving up to 147.... His best win is vs Lipinets. The only man on his resume who's ever fought for a world title and it was at 140lbs. He claims no wants to fight him, but he and his camp couldn't come up with a single name of an opponent who actually turned down an offer to fight him.

Now he's on this campaign that he is bigger, stronger, smarter than the elites of his division, mainly Spence and Crawford.......based on what he did to.......who......Dulorme......a guy Crawford stopped back when he was a lightweight trying to move up to 140.

Don't be shocked if Madrimov is totally destroyed in the ring, and all those saying that Madrimov is a hell of a fighter start claiming that Madrimov is a bum and that crawford has fought nobody.

I think Madrimov can hold for the first 6 rounds, I will give him a huge credit if he can get past 10 round.
