He also says he thinks Ray Robinson was the greatest ever. He also implies that if the Tyson fight happened a year earlier, he would have did better

My favorite brother ever is … my brother.

Props to Michael Spinks for a truly real answer — of course his favorite fighter is his brother.

I don’t think Leon had a mean bone in his body. His shortcomings as a fighter probably had most to do with him liking to have a good time a little too much. There are worse sins.

I liked what Larry Holmes put out on Twitter when Leon passed:

“You gave me a hell of a fight but you were a good guy. You lived your life the way you wanted and it was a good one. I pray you Rest In Peace.”

I couldn’t ask for anything better to be said for me when it’s my time.

I believe it. Leon was his older brother and likely why Michael got involved in the sport. They looked after each other growing up in St. Louis.

Do you think that if the Spinks of the Cooney fight had fought Tyson that he'd have done better?

I think vindicating Leon may have been PART of the reason he took the Holmes fight. A shot at the heavyweight title along with lots of money probably helped ;)

Hard to say, Tyson was alway gonna go hard at Spinks. It was for the lineal, it was important to him.
So I can't see the result being much difference really.

Lol would not surprise me in the slightest, pal!
Tyson was on fire and Spinks was gonna get burnt badly.

No. Like Hearns was all wrong for Duran, young Tyson was all wrong for Spinks.

No I don't believe Spinks would done much better against
    that version of Tyson.
In fact I don't believe he would've beaten the best
    version of Gerry Cooney either.
Timing was" Everything" about Mike Spinks run
    at heavyweight.
