Golovkin is a puncher and a stalker. He will be out of there in one round.
What has Golovkin done against HW or even Cruiserweight opponents?

Yeah but they weren't heavyweight champions. Louis was an ATG heavyweight.

As we have established thanks to you, Golovkin is the same size as Conn. He hits twice as hard and has a legendary chin. Therefore Louis is in big trouble. As per Classic, we all know that weights don't really matter when comparing eras.

"Heavyweight" is over 200lb. If we are talking about the modern era.

It also has to be said Golovkin's only fight above Middleweight was against Canelo at Super Middleweight and Golovkin looked flat in that fight.

I think you missed the part where Conn was 174lb against Louis. GGG is typically 173/4 lb on fight night. So clearly this is a major threat to Louis, who seems vulnerable to smaller guys. I mean, Conn had him all but wiped out, right? Tough assignment for Louis, man.

    Am I?

Any more obtuse than guys that insist 200lb Louis is at no disadvantage whatsoever against 250lb SHWs like the Klitschkos?

I think you missed the part that Conn is considered great Light Heavyweight and Golovkin's record above Middleweight is 0-1 hope that helps.

Yeah but Golovkin's stats are much better than Conn's. That ought to set you straight.

Umm nah Billy Conn beat ranked Heavyweight contenders and pushed an ATG Heavyweight in Joe Louis all the way hes far more proven at higher weightclasses.

Golovkin is 0-1 above Middleweight and your speculation that Golovkin does well against an ATG Heavyweight is based on Golovkin having a 0-1 record in the only fight he fought above Middleweight.

    Amazing logic.

Yeah unfortunately Conn hit like a featherduster compared to Golovkin. Conna also had Louis well whipped in their first fight. Given their virtually identical sizes and Louis' well established vulnerability to small guys (Schmeling was also barely a cruiser in size) I'd say that Joe is swimming upstream here. Awfully sorry. I wish size and style mattered in these hypotheticals then I might have been able to be more nuanced. But yeah, it doesn't.
