Canelo clearly won this but big respect to Munguia for trying his best to win without quitting. Munguia has a lot of heart.

 

Last round to Canelo, so accurate and a few bombs in there.

The kid showed great heart and determination and really laid some heat on Canelo at times. He set the pace early, eased back when he had to then kept up a good tempo until the end. Canelo classy and disgustingly durable and he responded quite well to the pace and being pushed and was strong in the last round.

Looks like Canelo didnt want to KO munguia. I hope he fights Benavidez and shuts him up for good. If he doesnt fight in september then he risks losing to him in the future when he’s shot.
