On my scorecards Mungia has lost 2 straight against Derevyanchenko and Canelo.

He doesn't do well against experienced fighters. He's too green.

So what does he mean if the money is right? There is no one left at 168 that people are going to pay to watch Canelo fight. So if he continues to fight, who is the money fight?

Crawford would get seriously hurt. He's just not big enough to absorb that kind of power

Man they aren’t serious, typical attention seeking behavior, Canelo clearly won that fight. Hell Jaime said he lost, it’s weird bro.

mungai was doing good until he was knocked down and he stopped standing his ground he tried a new way to win and keep it competive but he lost.

Crawford would get smashed in 2-3 rounds vs big daddy Canelo.

Precisely, most people bring a **** ton of confirmation bias into these matches. They assumed Canelo was going to win walking away, and that's all they allowed themselves to see. Literally blinding themselves to how competitive most of these rounds were. While also blinding themselves to how many of Canelo's punches were being slipped and blocked by Munguia's right hand. No one, not even the commentators were willing to acknowledge how much Munguia was landing on Canelo, because that would require a reset of their premanufactured narrative, and they didn't want to deviate from it no matter what.

Canelo's face is perfectly built to take punches. Surely his defensive skills are good, but he is not unhittable by any means, and even in fights where he gets hit he is still unmarked after 12 rounds. No cuts or swellings.

Munguia admitted he lost and Canelo was too experienced for him. Shows how woeful/biased some of the scorecards on this thread are.

8-4 for me + the kd

Just too clever with more tricks, more calm, more experience.

He looks at the end of his career, though. Like when Golovkin against murata, or an older larry holmes. An old, shop worn canelo is still better than most but the counters aren't quite as sharp, not quite so much bounce, not quite the speed, not quite output.

Still a very good fight - mungia is exciting to watch. Just not quite good enough tonight.
