Would Wilder beat everyone Vitali beat

He was 225 pounds vs Wladimir against Vitali in his very next fight he was 235 pounds and visibly flabby.

10 extra pounds between 1 fight plus 1 year lay off is evident that Sanders wasn't 100 percent conditioned.

 

GLOBALLY, I think Vitali's competition is stronger than Wilder's (until Wilder lost the title).
I think Wilder would have at least one more loss if he went through Vitali's competition.
On the other hand, it is very possible that Wilder would beat Byrd, but he would still have at least one more loss if he fought against Vitali's competition.

 

I know outside of Sanders, Nate Tubbs had like two wins over fighters with winning records and they were hardly household names in their own households.

I know Deontay Wilder is better than Nate Tubbs.

The idea that Wilder stands no chance against a guy who got blown out in a couple of rounds by Nate Tubbs is pretty preposterous.

 

Wilder regularly gets beaten up for 80% of a fight until he lands his hail mary. That may work against no-power guys like Szpilka but Sanders is another kettle of fish.

 

it proves nothing just like your post. He was 225 when he was KOed by Rahman too .. the man was 6’ 4” and in prefight interviews said he wanted to feel stronger vs Vitali. Do your homework. Watch the fight. He came to win, didnt has out, simply got beat up by a better man.

 

I think it can be overlooked that fighters tactically gain or lose weight. I’m not arguing anyone’s point in this thread but it’s possible for Wlad Klitschko Corrie Sanders wanted to be lighter and nimble but with Vitali Klitschko he knew he’d be with a more psychical fighter so he wanted to have bulk.

 

Yes he was 225 pounds against Rahman and lost in a very competitive back and forth war what has that got to do with Vitali ? Sanders was in shape vs Rahman and lost in a great fight and ?

If you're suggesting not fighting for over a year and being 10 pounds heavier, not to mention having a beer belly is being 100 percent in shape then I'm baffled to be quite frank.

I never said Sanders didn't try in the fight but he wasn't in 100 percent fighting shape and that's a fact, the 10 pounds extra weight and the lay off are evidence to that aswell as just looking at his body for christ sake.

How does that not prove anything what ? The facts are right there aswell as the evidence using your own two eyes to look at Sanders to see he wasn't in shape.........

 

Sanders was more interested in golf and hadn't fought for over a year and was sporting a big beer belly its plainly obvious he wasn't in shape vs Vitali it's got nothing to do with tactics the man just wasn't in shape end of.

Right, he had no interest in winning the title and all the money that would come with it .. great argument. Not only are you wrong but you discredit the courageous performance he put on. He simply got beat by a better man that night. He may or may not have been at his own absolute best that night as he was in his mid/later 30's , but his weight had fluctuated between the mid 220's to the mid 230's for the prior eight years, he was well prepared to challenge Vitali and got beat.

I don't even know what you're even harping on about to be quite honest, who said anything about Sanders not showing heart in the fight ? my argument is Sanders wasn't in the best shape for the fight which is a fact.

I'm not going to keep repeating myself if you can't clearly see that a beer belly Corrie Sanders coming off over a year lay off and 10 pounds heavier than he was vs Wladimir wasn't in pristine condition then i'm absolutely baffled.......

Sanders was 38 years old had only fought 5 rounds in 3 years had one foot out the door and was more interested in playing golf.

 

Anyone with eyes could see Sanders was not in shape and was spent by the third round against Vitali.

Moreover, it was well known that Sanders had never been truly enamored by the sport anyway, and was most certainly more interested in pursuits other than boxing (ranching and golfing) by the time he became an unlikely champ.

He was also, as one paper put it: "a little old to be an overnight success".
