Top 5 consensus pound for pound fighters. Battle of 4 division champions. (Assuming Crawford wins in August, this would kick start him to a five division champion and an undisputed champion.)

For some reason his "Excellency" isn't keen on Canelo-Benavidez, even though the rest of us want this fight.

This fight would have made more sense in 2016.

takes canelo about 8 rds to stop him. you will be able to visibly see bud deteriorating as the rds go by til he gets broke down in the 3rd quarter of the fight. canelo is good enough to make the size difference the decider.

Canelo has always been troubled by boxer-movers who don't over extend on their punches (Floyd, Bivol, Lara). Bud is versatile enough and capable enough to get off a disciplined game plan where he avoids Canelo's counters and moves to stop him from getting set while using his southpaw jab and angles to win rounds. I don't care about how much weight he gives up, I believe Bud is an ATG and ATGs jump weight classes all the time to beat dangerous opponents. Canelo should fight Bennie but I wouldn't mind seeing this fight. It's a helluva lot better than Berlanga ffs.

Canelo beats the hell out of Crawford, whose mobility wouldn't be as good with added weight and who wouldn't have the strength or pop to truly deter Canelo, who has a cast iron chin. P4P, different story, but weight classes exist for a reason and there's a massive difference between welterweights and super middleweights.

They're both 5'8 and Bud has the longer reach, there really isn't that big of a discrepancy size wise and Canelo has always been a bit small for his weight, he's just quick dense.

Is there a decisive size difference? are you sure? Since boxrec crawford is taller and has bigger reach. His frame is smaller, though, but is it enough to be decisive?

I'm not saying yes or not. I'm just wondering.

theres a difference between boiling down from your natural weight, and bulking up from it. canelos weight superiority is not fat or water weight, it is working muscle and far superior bone density. his muscles and bones are naturally conditioned to carry much more weight while expending the same level of energy. his power, speed and reflexes suffer from nothing stepping into the ring at 180. bud will need extra unnatural weight hes not used to carrying in order to not get rag dolled by canelo. and he will still get manhandled.

Canelo is thick, powerful and has perhaps the best chin in the game. Crawford has nothing that would worry Canelo. Porter was beating Crawford for crying out loud.

I favor Canelo, but Bud can still pull it off if he fights a perfect fight.

Porter couldn't do anything with Crawford, he threw a lot but landed at a record low percentage for his whole career. Porter barely touched Bud if you look closely, he never lands flush, nearly all his punches are grazing and as soon as Bud needed to he went through the gears. Bud and Shawn are good friends, would you wanna give any of your buddies possibly irreparable brain damage and a career worst ass whooping?

    Both overrated, overhyped.

Crawford has predominantly fought shot, drained, injured guys at 147lbs and Canelo has been involved in numerous sparring sessions.

These two shame boxing as a sport.
