The Fury 'Era' Ends On May 18th

He was lineal champion.

 

Lineal Champion is an imaginary title. It's not an officially recognized title, and there are no belts or trophies involved. This ain't counting as Title fights in any statistics.

 

Looking forward to this one. It would be great if people could handle the truth when it's over but l suspect some would rather die first.

 

even though i do think hes a bad champ overall, my analysis of him as a threat in the ring is strictly based on what i see in the ring. goes back his whole career. im not saying he has no skills, and would get washed out in any other era, just that he is not an elite level fighter, skillwise or as a package. it might get competitive in spurts, as he still poses problems, but the difference in ability to execute their respective game plans will be very evident. usyk has more and better tools, discounting size, which i doubt usyk allows him to use, like lesser fighters have allowed him to.

 

I get why some people hate Fury but discrediting his whole career is just ridiculous.

 

Lineal title or arguments is what gives belts their authority not the sanctionng body. In any case you don't consider undefeated Fury v undefeated Wallin a title fight after Fury drew undefeated WBC champ Wilder? What? Thats a title fight mate.

What authority do sanctioning bodies have to strip champions who haven't lost or retired?

Usyk should be heavily favored btw. Theres a healthy chance Usyk 10-2s Fury. But theres plenty of room to discredit Furys greatness without taking out an eraser to his career. Especially on behalf of someone who barely has a HW career.

 

I'll believe it when I see the duck waddle up to and enter the ring on fight night.

But can he do that against a 6'9 master boxer who has good movement and can switch stances?

 

Lineal title is as serious title as some kids plastic belts on the playground.
And it's not what I or YOU think it's a title fight. There is a clear rules for that, and statistics as well. And no Wallin wasn't a title fight, simply cause title was not on the line and Fury wasn't a Champion.
And Usyk has nothing to do in that specific discussion, which is about how many title fights Fury has, and the answer is 6 and 3 title defenses.

 

Ngannou also switches stances, and it's known for that, how that went against AJ?

 

There's a good chance Fury wins, so you should mentally prepare for that.
He might even win twice.
Then he might beat AJ.
So he'd have Wlad, Wilder x2, Usyk x2, AJ.

 

I hope Fury loses and falls into oblivion because he has been slowing down the division for long enough by holding the belt hostage, lying to his loyal fans and pretending to be something he is not, his personality is one of the worst in boxing today, one day he will say that money is not important, and the next day he will say that he will only fight for huge money, Fury is mentally ill and bipolar and needs professional help...
