Where was never Furys era in the first place and after his loss, there will not be Usyks.

Nobody has done enough, to call it his era, you fools.

    Fair point mate
Manny was also more than capable of throwing 1000 punches, yet he barley threw over 400 vs Floyd

Not as easy to throw so much,if you expect shots to come back and the other guy can move and spoil

I don't know. We'll find out if he ever fights one.

Meanwhile he has Fury to deal with...

The only thing I like about Fury hardcore fans is they like to count their chickens before they hatch. His resume is full of "will beat"

I am not so sure, Sir, i am not so sure... I think Fury may surprice Usyk with bodypunching and crowding him. Also, Fury seems to rise on the occasion when in a big fight.

I’ve had Usyk as a slight favourite for a while but I have a strong feeling Fury will win, can just see it coming.

OK, show me these clear rules on some examples.

Was a fight between Frank Slavin and Joe McAuliffe a title fight?
Was a fight between Peter Maher and Bob Fitzsimmons a title fight?
Was a fight between Marvin Hart and Jack Root a title fight?
Was a fight between Lee Savold and Bruce Woodcock a title fight?
Was George Foreman and Shannon Briggs a title fight?

What are these CLEAR RULES that govern whether they were or weren't title fights.

It's simple in order to have a title defense, you actually had to hold one of the 4 MAJOR belts. Or to put it better a one of a Sanctioning organizations, which are WBA, WBC, IBF, WBO. I'm not 100% sure if Ring is such as well.
Lineal Title, British Title, European title, IBO minor title, some regular, etc, are just not included.

There is chance to all of us win in lottery too...

Stop add victory that never happend to Fury resume. Its just silly because he almost lost to Francis Ngannou last time...
Soo there is pretty similar chance that he will loss to Usyk 1 time and got depresion and gain weight to 500 lbs...

For the sake of boxing, I would like it to end on 5/18. I think Fury has not been a good steward of the glamour division and he needs to go.

Can't wait for this. Rooting for him but it's going to be tough. I think Fury got embarrassed by Ngannou, probably barely trained, and is now out to prove something after AJ smoked Ngannou.

You're right that the Chisora defence was so forgettable ... I missed it off my original post!
My bad. 6 world title fights.
To be clear I am absolutely not counting lineal defences (they're not usually in such discussions!!?), which is a subjective concept and open to abuse by champions. The sanctioning bodies may have their problems. But at least a champion can - in theory - be held to account to face their top madatories. And it can be measured against other statistics from history. Lineal is often a much more messy business and allows champions to defend a fictional belt against non deserving competition. Particularly in more modern times.

Yes many do. Its the basis of the entire sports history. For example I consider Furys fights lineal fights and say AJs fights "alphabet title fights". And I am not the only one who does that not even close.

The main issue with sanctioning bodies is the mere existence of mandatories as their existence means a sanctioning body will strip a champ for not fighting them and thats at the core of most issues the sanctioning bodies have had that people complain about. Those aren't a legitamite concept IMO. Why are the belts going to split after Usyk v Fury? Mandatory. The champion can fight whoever they want within reason and people can criticize them for those decisions within reason.

Top mandatories did not exist for decades I don't know how that can be consistantly applied historically. Lineal is the thing thats existed since the beginning with alternative champs in the beginning being based on some alternative lineal argument opposed to sanctioning bodies believing they had the authority to strip a champion.
