I have a cool stat. Unless I’m mistaken (I’m 99% sure I’m not) then Inoue has 14 wins against champions who were top 10 ranked at the time he fought them. Crawford on the other hand only has 7

And has failed multiple PED tests so no leeway for him.

Naoya Inoue has scored more 10-8 rounds(42) than 9-10(40)
I was dicking arround in Boxrec and to my shock, Inoue has won more rounds 10-8 than the ones that he lost.

The amounts of the rest are this:

    10-10: 2 rounds

    10-9: 304 rounds

    10-8: 42 rounds

    10-7: 2 rounds

    9-10: 40 rounds

    No data, probably 10-8 : 3 rounds

    No data, probably 10-9 : 9 rounds

(this are scored rounds, for example, both 10-7 where against narvaez, but the other judge gave it a 10-8, that's why there are only 2)

    Another cool stat

Even in the recent Nery fight he scored 2 10-8 rounds & a KO to avenge his sole 8-10 first round loss

Inoue also won Sexiest Japanese Leprechaun of the Year for the third straight year, an award that ugly pig face chibi goblin Ginjiro Shigeoka won't ever win once

That’s an insane stat. Just another proof of why he’s such a special fighter.

Yep he’s mental, what’s even crazier is that I actually think those numbers are harsh. For my money he’s lost 7 rounds in his entire career- 3 to Donaire, 2 to Taguchi, 1 to Tapales and 1 to Nery

I think Inoue is getting the edge here mainly because Crawford has fought fairly infrequently recently. I was so hyped up on Crawford after the Spence fight and couldn’t wait to see him again in his next fight. But now it has been almost 10 months since the fight and by the time he fights Madrimov in August, it will have been a little over a year since the Spence fight. Don’t get me wrong… Crawford is a legend and has absolutely earned the right to fight as often or as infrequently as he wants. To be honest, I’m just saying for my own selfish reasons, I would really like to see him fight more often (like 3 times a year would be awesome), especially since he’s going to be turning 37 a little later this year. You have to figure he’s probably just got a couple more years at the most before retirement. I’m definitely looking forward to the Madrimov fight though, and I’d love to see him fight Canelo before he ultimately hangs the gloves up. I think that fight would probably need to be at middleweight, assuming Canelo is still able and willing to make 160. I’m sure they could probably work out a catchweight between 160 and 168 if necessary. Or maybe they really do agree to fight at 168; Crawford seems like the kind of guy who would be willing to take on that risk, especially if it’s his final fight.

In the first Donaire, 1 judge must have been blind because he only had Inoue winning by 1 or 2 points iirc

Yes the official count if anything is skewed against him because you could argue that many of those rounds should have been given to him while conversely the rounds he wins are usually so decisive that there is no question of giving it to the other guy

I'm personally fine with him or Crawford as # 1, that's not something I'd kick up dust about.

It would be a great fight if Nakatani fought Bam this year! Make it happen!

 I'd have to give that some thought. Definitely not Murata who is the most handsome and cool one
