Zhāng Zhìlěi vs. Deontay Leshun Wilder

This will be a career ender for Wilder. I typically feel for fighters on their way out the door of the sport, trying to stay relevant in their twilight fights. Wilder has proven to be such an awful person that watching him get banged out of the game will not be upsetting at all.

 

Wilder is finished! Still got a punchers chance but I can see Zhang destroying him.

 

Zhang will destroy Wilder worse than he destroyed Joyce the 2nd time around.

Think Wilder will get dropped. Zhang is coming off the Parker loss where he thought he won. Wilder lost 3 of his last 4. His only win in the last 4.5 years is knocking out Robert Helenius. Zhang is 6-2-1 in the last 4.5 years. His 2 losses were close decisions to Parker & Hrgovic. Looking forward to see what both fighters have left in a week or so.

Anything could happen with this fight. Wilder has the right hand that's so useful against southpaws and Zhang ate a lot of right hands from Hrgovic. But then Wilder can't fight on the back foot and might fear leading to avoid being countered by the sneaky Zhang. If he landed twice on Parker he can land on Wilder.

It's going to come down to who lands first. I was favouring Wilder but I'm not so sure now.

 

Wilder just doesn’t look healthy anymore. Probably from tripping on drugs too many times.

Zhang knows he needs to finish him early before his extremely porous gas tank empties.

 

If wilder gets dropped he ain't getting back up, Zhang punches a lot harder than Fury. I'm not a wilder fan but I think he should hang them up soon he's slurring a little and he's only going to get ko'd a few more times if he hangs around.
Wilders only chance of beating Zhang is if the fight goes to late rounds as Zhang has no cardio

 

Wilder is too chinny, wheras Zhang can survive Wilders power, Wilder will also be getting backed up. I see this looking like a mismatch.

Zhang did get rocked by a Parker right tho. Hoping Wilder can get it done, because Zhang plans to come in over 300 pounds and this could very well be the biggest mistake of his career

 

But just remember... That's actually 2-2-1 if you only count top-200 fighters - and that goes actually the sum total of his professional career, too.

Wilder on the other hand has never beaten a legit contender.


This should be billed as "heavy hitting hypejobs".

 

Wow 300 lbs! That's less than ideal.
Jeez he could be a useless stationary lump for large parts of the fight (however long it lasts)
