He's got every inch outta himself, that's for sure. I can't think of a limited fighter who has cashed in as well as George. I also mean limited as in a limited world class fighter.

Maybe he gets bagged because he talks a big game but that's unfair, if it's the case. He promotes his fights, he's supposed to! I honestly think it's a case of big brother still unhappy that one of its fighters was shown up. Big brother being the states and Lopez it's boy.

Quite a few in here were screaming for his retirement after Haney whooped him the second time yet here he is nabbing $5mil for his troubles today. I've heard talk he made $7mil vs Maxi. So if he retired after Haney he misses out on $12mil or so.

There's calls for him to quit again. He's just not that stupid. Who in their right mind would quit at 30 when there's no doubt some seven figure earnings left.

He's short and has short arms. So what? That will never change.

He was not smaller than Kambosos, or anyone else outside of Haney and Teo... neither of whom knew how to impose size.

100% agree with this. They put him in with someone who has a hard style to deal with so I think at this point George is taking the Jeff Horn tour in facing big names for money in bouts he has no chance winning.

Loma was bigger, stronger, and sturdier than Kambosos. He has grown into a stocky lightweight.

Never seen numbers like that. He dominated Kambosos like no other fight has come close to doing and stopped him for the first time in his career.

Impressive performance from Loma, even more so considering his age, inactivity and the size disparity. It was a complete domination and his style should've favoured Kambosos more than Haney's did but he won every round without needing to move out of 2nd gear. Becoming the first man to stop Kambosos was a real nice exclamation point on the performance, I predicted he would stop him when they were first due to fight.

Teofimo and Haney are obviously way bigger and heavier than Loma with significantly or way longer reaches and they're also significantly or much bigger than Kambosos too but neither could get him out of there. Haney had 24 rounds to do it but still couldn't put a dent in him. That's how elite Loma's skills are. Teofimo is one of the most skilled guys in the sport and so is Haney is too but even with their size advantage they couldn't get him our of there

I said long ago that Loma is one of the best body punchers in the sport and that even though he's tiny for the division his power is underrated

He's either hurt, dropped or stopped every 135 pounder he's fought sans Teofimo who he didn't even start letting his hands go against until the second half of the fight

    Stopped

    Linares
    Kambosos
    Crolla
    Nakatani

Dropped and badly hurt multiple times

    Pedraza
    Commey
    Campbell

    Hurt

    Haney
    Ortiz

And Pedraza, Campbell and Commey only survived by the skin of their teeth. Campbell
had to hold for dear life and rugby tackle Loma to the canvas to buy time. Pedraza was dropped x 2 in round 11 and barely made it out of the round. And Loma took his foot of the gas against Commey after hurting him badly

Loma and the huge punching Teofimo share four common opponents now

    Kambosos
    Nakatani
    Ortiz
    Commey

Every single one of those fighters were much or way bigger and heavier than Loma

With the exception of Commey who Teofimo got out of there early after catching him with a beautifully timed bomb of a right hand Loma has done much better against all three of their other common opponents

Dominated and stopped Kambosos without losing a round
Dominated, beat the crap out of and stopped Nakatani without losing a round
Beat Ortiz albeit it was tough close affair

Whereas, conversely, Teomifo lost to Kambosos in his own backyard, went life and death against Nakatani on his own soil
Should've lost to Ortiz wide in his own backyard
