i see Kambosos is his usual self.
telling everyone how humble he is and then big noting himself in the next sentence, lol.
i think he'll be severely outclassed but if i'm wrong that's ok too.

Not sure where to watch it again, but Joe was losing until the last round when he scored a TKO.

Browne lost in a 1st round ko and it was gut wrenchingly sad

    Lucas Browne has retired now.

Congrats to him on a decent career.

Gotta be honest, guys. I didn't enjoy the show yesterday. My favourite thing is watching a good Australian show but it needs to advance the interests of Australian boxing just a smidgen in order for me to enjoy it. I didn't think that was the case yesterday.

Andrew Moloney had his hard luck career effectively ended by a dodgy decision (yes, the other guy sustained a decent body attack throughout but Moloney did enough to win a decision fighting at home, I thought), Cherneka won clearly & then had the win stained by a misread of the scorecards (the ring announcer doesn't understand how to read scorecards out even when he gets them right) & then George got schooled (nice seeing Loma out here & gracious in victory which was about the only positive for the day that I could discern). In the walk-out bouts, Big Bad Joe Goodall labored for much of the fight before pulling it out at the end while Big Daddy got smoked by a Kiwi.

A lamentable day for Australian boxing & one that has me questioning the value of giving large sums of money to overseas promoters to put on shows here. The money goes out of the pockets of Australians, into the coffers of government & then from them to overseas promoters who use the money to pay overseas sanctioning bodies and fighters (& local fighters it must be said).

The net return on investment (a women's WBA Bantamweight title) wasn't enough to justify the outlay, imo. Not putting on the show means we don't see Loma but seriously, where is the carry over benefit for Australian boxing? I think for the money we should at least expect that our fighters get a fair suck of the sauce-bottle when it comes to scoring but that didn't happen in Moloney's fight. The government money would be better spent on local promoters who ensure our guys don't get shafted.

And while I'm having a whinge, can I say that I'm really getting sick of the Mexicans robbing us blind. Dennis Hogan beat Jamie Munguia clear but got robbed. Stevie Spark, a top 5 Australian fighter, won clear in Mexico & got shafted by two home-town judges who weren't even supposed to be working the fight. He retired after that fight & hasn't been sighted since. In fairness, we all know how things work on the road & our guys were fighting 'away' in those ones. It's a bit hard to take when they're fighting at home & get the same treatment.

Tszyu,Zerafa, both Moloney's, Wilson and Kambosos all losing within a couple of months of each other.

Liam Paro is in tough now too.

Looks like Opetaia is carrying the banner for a while.

Browne was cleverly matched and did well for himself after a late start in the game and with fairly limited ability.

    Had this to say :

"I am incredibly proud of what I've accomplished in the ring, and I am deeply thankful to all the fans who have supported me along the way" – Lucas Browne

Loma and Kambosos' stare down lasted longer than Browne and Ahio's fight.

Super annoying ring announcer Dan Hennessy announces retirement :

“I own it. It’s all on me.” “I have apologized to all involved and now I apologize to you. I am sorry for what happened. Again I own it and can only try and do better next time. Not my best day in the office.”

“I love all the support from everyone. Thank you all for the kind words. Unfortunately the worldwide backlash is absolutely incredible and it’s effecting my mental health to a degree where I will have 1 more show ever.. I am doing this show because I am still a man of my word.”

my advice would be to go and have a holiday and come back and pretend it never happened.

Former St Kilda AFL player Sam Fisher will spend the next 3 years in the can for drug trafficking. He's lucky he didn't get more.
