Josh Taylor is a corpse at 140!

I agree; he has no business staying at 140, and it's frustrating to see he hasn't moved up to try and reinvigorate his career at 147. If Taylor struggles again vs Catterall I hope we don't hear any excuses regarding the weight, as it is Taylor's decision to continue to boil himself down to 140.

 

He shouldn't have left McGuigan, the pair were good together and it's quite clear Josh's skills have degraded significantly since parting ways. Josh should have moved up to 147 right after he beat Ramirez and he should have faced Catterall instead of Khongsong way back when, that fight was a complete waste of his time. He's squandered his career since beating Ramirez and I have no clue why he's chosen to fight Jack at 140 rather than a catchweight or just 147 outright, he's still the a-side here and has the drawing power because Jack has no fanbase and is not a draw.

 

So you don't want him at 140. You don't want him fighting Ennis at 147.

What do you want?

The guy is a former undisputed champion. Be should be operating at the top level

 

Agreed, Taylor's team are either incompetent or they don't have Taylor's best interests at heart. They should have pushed for the Catterall rematch to be at 147.

Having to still cut those 7 extra lbs when he should have moved up years ago, is going to kill him (metaphorically and hopefully not literally)

 

He weighs 140 and 135 pounds of that amount is his big mouth.

 

It has been like that for a while. I don't understan how this guy is still fighting there.

 

He should deal with reality, regardles of what he has acomplished or not up to now.

And imho going up in weight and not fighting the best in the weight is his best choice. To slowly build again momentum against the likes of stanionis which is a very winable guy. I agree with Toney F**U.

There is no point in fighting Crawford, Ennins or Spencer if he cant oblitarate Stanionis, Avanesyan, Santillan....

Regarding caterall, **** cateral, who cares? If he wants the rematch, make it at 147 or nothing. You have to look after yourself first. **** us the fans too, as well as caterall.

 

I'm all for him earning his ranking at WW, not for him avoiding fighters though.

 

I dont like avoiding fighters either, but it is pretty clear that he is mentally and phisically unwell. Something is not going well there (maybe because of having to cut so much weight?). We all can see it. It is the moment to build some confidence, to pull your A side card and fight caterall at 147 and then maybe a couple of "not-so-hard" touches like the names Toney F**U mentioned. Then he can be smashed by Crawford, Spencer or Ennins (he's going to be smashed anyway, no matter what he does...)

The first person a fighter should care about is himself.

Staying at 140 and fighting caterall there was a mistake imho.

 

I don't believe in soft touches tbh. Why pay to watch a fight with a pre determined result?

 

Taylor fighting Crawford, Ennins or Spencer at 147 is pretty much the definition of a pre-determined result.

As I said, maybe for the fans it is not the best, but the fighter needs to care about himself and only about himself. Not you nor me are going to feed his chldren or to suffer brain damage once he retires after campaigning at 140 like a walking dead.

I would be the first one saying BS about him had he fought caterall at 147, ofc, I'm a fan, but he should know well enough to say "**** this guy on the internet". His trainer should know too, btw.

 

That I completely agree with 100% tbh.

I'm just saying as a fan, I just want to see competitive fights.

But he needs people in his team looking out for his best interests.
