LOL it's arguably the biggest fight in boxing. Canelo has said in the past he had no real interest in the fight because Crawford is smaller, but Bud has the star power to make this a Super Fight. I personally wouldn't mind seeing it but I'm not really calling for it. I don't think Canelo is calling for it either, but if Bud wants it, and if the fight is offered to Canelo, it's a big $ fight so financially it makes sense.

What? You are acting like Crawford is Floyd. He gets hit and Canelo will hit him, and will hit him harder than anyone.

He has more star power than anyone else Canelo could fight.

No need to diss Bud like that. He is no midget. He's as tall as Canelo with a 3 ½ inch reach advantage.

Floyd? Get his name out of this thread.

We're talking about Crawford v Canelo.

That's fine. That doesn't make it a superfight, though. I don't think it would outsell Canelo/Benavidez, honestly.

I'm a bit suprised that this is the fight the Saudis are choosing to fund.

Benavidez isn't as big of a draw as Bud, but I agree more fans would want to see Benavidez Canelo than Bud Canelo and Benavidez Canelo would probably do better numbers, though it's hard to say for sure. Matching up Two Top P4P fighters always has a certain novelty to it.

By that simpleton logic Rafael Ezpinoza would be an acceptable opponent for Canelo. You have no shame.

If Canelo fights Bud that's it for me as far as defending Canelo on here.

Benavidez isn't bringing any fan base to the Canelo fight outside of the Canele hater fan base which I don't think are that many.

Against Munguia another popular Mexican we saw Canelo can pull about 550K. Its safe to assume the vast majorityof those buys came from Mexicans and MexicanAmericans. That's probably the Mexican PPV market today.

You pair him against a popular black fighter like Jermell Charlo, he can pull in an additional 100k-150k.. like they did in their fight.

Against an even more popular black fighter like Bud Crawford they may pull in an additional 300K buys from the African American PPV market.

Benavidez-Canelo will flop in my opinion, at best it does Minguia numbers, and by a miracle it does Jermell Charlo.

After Bud he will fight Loma , then Inoue, then a woman, then an 11 yr old .... because blah blah star power, blah blah money fight ....

The amount of stooges that will support absolute asshats using their star power to cheat, win robberies, duck rivals and now fight guys 4 divisions below them is turning boxing into a circus.

What are you defending exactly? Charlo, and Bud are pure money grabs. I can't hate on that.

For years while all the Jr MWs, MWs, and SMWs were busy not doing **** Canelo was putting in the work. Now he's in a position where he can make easy money, even though I don't think Crawford will be as easy as some are making it out to be.

Canelo doesn't use his size to beat down opponents, he uses his counter punching, timing, and placed shots. Just like Khan was having a little bit of success against Canelo, I can see Bud also having success.

It's not the ideal fight, of course not, but it's a better fight than many top fighters during Canelo's era have been taking.
