Barely an inch between them at the face off.

He arrived Sunday evening but was finishing his training camp in Bulgaria, he arrived there 2 weeks prior and since they are in similar time zone he should be ok. I spoke to him a couple of days ago and he felt good and ready to go.

Any body know about Kovalev's financial situation? I understand the joy of competition in fighting ...but...trying to fight at an elite level with others much younger...especially if you have made the cash in the past? He must be strapped for dough. don't like to see fighters trying to put food on the table past their sell by dates.

Is this an elite level, though? Sirwan is thirty-one years of age and hasn't done anything. He's barely any bigger than Kovalev either. There might be an three or four cm.

Looks pretty basic bar heavy hands. Yeah Kovalev was out of the ring 2 years but Vs Pulev he looked way more dynamic than this guy

Since I'm one of Kovalev's biggest backers on here since I joined the site, the less I can think about this match... the better. I hope he can keep him at bay and box his ears off. But.... I'm worried.

Loved Kovalev during his reign. Was bitter watching him get screwed against Ward. He’s so far past it and brittle he must need the money. Kinda sad seeing him fight as an afterthought on a stacked card. I hope he can pull it off but definitely have my doubts.

Not Safar’s best performance but I’m very happy for him!

Thought Kovalev put up a valiant effort but ultimately had it about 8-2 maybe 7-3 to Safar, and the KD sealed it.

I didn't write it down but I think I had it 97 - 93 for safar. I got 6 rounds to 3 with one even and then the 10 8 round
