    The other guy fought in an era where the champ might fight 5-6 times in a year, including stay busy fights.The ranked fighters still got their shots.

    Loma lost his fight, then got another shot in his next fight.

    Patterson had 2 fights that year, and didn't fight for a whole year after beating Rademacher.

    Sorry he lost to Haney so he has lost 3 times. Losses do not diminish his legacy. Great fighter and all time great.He will lose to Tank and or Shakur as well.
