The 99-90 judge must have been Howie Foster...

With the amount of drugs you've subjected your own brain to I don't think you're a reliable judge of fights.

id say 97-92 was spot on. a round close no big deal. two rounds a stretch. Safar in lots of round was out landed by 10 shots. I have no issues with peopel giving those away just because Kovalev looks shot.

He made plenty of money. If he still needs to make more, then he has only himself to blame.
He made a million fighting Hopkins. I am certain he made at least 3 million for his fights against: Pascal, Ward, Chilemba and Mohammedi.

I imagine at the very least he made 300k for each of the following fights: Shabranskyy, Mikhalkin, Eleider Alvarez(x2) and Yarde. And this is a very low estimate as 300k is the lowest the WBO allows for their purse bids for fights at 168 and above.
So that is another 1.5 million.

And then there is the Canelo payday of 3 million. And it was said his actual purse was more than the 3mil guarantee. So a conservative estimate puts his career earnings at 7.5 million USD. If he blew through that then it´s on him.

Hope the judges for the main event are all better than that idiot judge.

These ****ers get paid good money to do this too...

Actually I've gotten quite a few compliments on my cards. Boxing scoring is inherently subjective.

I could see this one a little closer for Kovalev if you gave him all the close rounds, but 95-94 is out of bounds.

Kovalev looked like a guy who was totally washed up. Slower than **** and unable to get his punches off. He's done.

This wasn’t Safar’s best showing, it was his first big fight against a solid veteran so I understand he was nervous, but I can promise you that Safar is better and more exciting than this. Give him another chance, you won’t be disappointed.

He'd be lucky to see 3 million of that after taxes and fees, but yea, even though he's been criminally underpaid, he still did quite well for himself. So I hope he didn't blow through the money and or go swimming with creditors and debt.

Sad to see Kov go out like this. He would’ve stopped someone like Safar in 3 rounds a few years back. Clearly not a cruiser - looked soft at the weight and lost his aura of steel. Always hate to see a superior fighter lose on size (for what it’s worth, I would fancy even this faded version of Kov to have beaten Safar if they had been the same size naturally).
Safar is fine but nothing special. Feed him to CBS.
