Opetaia is not as good as I thought he was. He was on his bike in the championship rounds against an almost 40-year-old Briedis with a broken nose and two years of ring rust. Opetaia was saved by the simple fact that he is 13 or so years younger. If they were around the same age, Briedis would destroy him. The cruiserweight division is in a sorry state if Opetaia is the best they can offer.

Crazy. Kind of like a lesser carbon copy of the first fight. Jai dominated the first half, broke Briedis' nose, and then Briedis came on late and hurt Jai and it looked like he might get him out of there.

Briedis is going to kick himself he didn't start doing that earlier.

Briedis let a big vicious uppercut go earlier in the fight which just whizzed past Jai's chin and I thought to myself Jai doesn't want to get caught clean with one of those and I think he did in the 10th because he was hurt and holding on tight.

But it was an Impressive performance by Jai and once again he displayed lovely skills. He'll clean up at CW with ease. But by the same token what an impressive and gallant finish by Briedis. He's made out of iron and that includes his fists. There isn't a 29 y/o CW who could give Jai as tough a fight as that, let alone a 39 y/o so it was impressive performance by both Jai and him and I'm happy with that because I'm a big fan of both.

How often do 40 year old veterans give such an account of themselves against THE young monster in the division? All respect to Briedis

LOL, Imagine Fury pulls out after falling from his ring walk platform and breaking his arm.

I mean, he is often like that. Many rounds of aimless spoiling and jab & grab are to be expected from Breidis; it's just who he is.

Yeah let’s see if he lost a step. I don’t think Fury hits as hard as Joshua or even Dubois. I think this fight is all dependent on if Usyk can deal with Fury’s dirty boxing.

Does anyone have Usyk vs Fury ending up as a draw?
I put some coin on a draw.

Frampton calling it as it is Fury’s belly flab will help absorb body shots

I can’t blame Jai too much, it’s hard to get anything going against a puncher who’s waiting for big counters.
