Congrats to warrior Usyk, another reminder but we all do know that Fury is a classless person.

Great victory by the greatest champion of his generation, Usyk. It was so much fun reading the comments of the Fury dicklickers in this thread when Fury was doing well. Like their fat demented gypsy hero they underestimated the heart of a true champion. Usyk showed why he’s one of the greatest champions in boxing history. Giving up six inches in height and over thirty pounds to an opponent and outboxing him in dominant fashion, this is a fight that will go down in history as one of the greatest heavyweight victories of all time.

Usyk had to overcome a bigger heavier opponent, a corrupt referee and corrupt judges. Amazing performance by the Cat, boxing legend.

Ah, so he gave the final rounds to Fury. That's... ridiculous.

To me it looked like a very close fight, but it seems impossible to give the W to Fury.

If not for the KD and Fury needing to recover (ie, lose) in the round after the KD, I think Fury would have edged it, but the KD did happen, so Fury lost.

While Usyk won clearly he still needs to be in perfect shape for the rematch, I think both of them will learn from this fight and adapt.
Should be another fascinating chess match.

Honestly, I’m absolutely delighted that Usyk won. I felt there was a point in it either way, and that Fury could’ve won that potentially, especially with the judges potentially being in his favour. Congrats to CST80 for some of his predictions tonight

    HELLUVA fight!

Some observations on the day's lineup and events:

    - Kabayel has earned himself a title shot sooner rather than later.

    - Briedis, at age 39, showed up. Bless 'im! Whether he chooses to keep fighting or not, he's acquitted himself admirably. And suddenly Opetaia seems somewhat more fallible.

    - After his encouraging exhibition of post-fight brotherly bonhomie, it was like nails on a chalkboard to suddenly hear Fury bellyache once again about how he thought he won the fight -- even this time saying that he was fighting a whole country. I really wish he wouldn't have those idiotic lapses.

    - And WTF was the actor Liev Schreiber doing in Usyk's corner? Is he making a movie about him?

I could see Fury maybe nicking the 12th. The 11th no chance!

What a fight. Both men fought great and did their absolute best, I thought Usyk was better in the first few rounds and Fury came on really strong with body shots that slowed down Usyk a lot. Then the momentum shifted towards Usyk with the knockdown and it was close until the last round and I had fury winning by a slim margin but I have no problem with Usyk winning at all.

He pressed the fight the entire fight and almost KO'd Fury. Well deserved win and what a fight.
