I noticed this. They also recently had Ramirez as #1 cruiser BEFORE he had a title. Their ratings are interesting, but goofy. They have a lot of weird things like letting a fighter retain his rating when he moves up in weight, automatically dropping fighters for inactivity, etc. They live by their algorithms, and the die by them.
Yeah I don’t get it. I can’t think of any justification for rating Joshua higher than Usyk. He not only beat AJ TWICE but also just beat the one man Joshua’s been avoiding for years who also happened to have claim to lineage.
They also recently had Floyd Patterson as a top five ATG heavy, and both Klit brothers in the top ten, although they made some adjustments and that changed.
I like to look at their ratings but don't take them as more than a conversation piece. Like any mathematical system, it is garbage in, garbage out.
